Unlike old times, now gas fireplaces installation is easy and very useful. Usually, fireplace glass doors with metal framing follow a minimal design principle and can turn any living room into a modern-day masterpiece.

You can follow the instructions for the upkeep of your fireplace:
1. Turn off the fireplace
The first and the most important step is to turn off the fireplace. Once the fireplace is off, allow it to cool down for some time. And, once it is cooled down, wear safety gloves and open the fireplace door. Use a tray and a scraper to take out the ashes and remnants of the wooden logs.
2. Remove the fire glass door
To remove the glass fireplace door, you might have to consult the user manual of the fireplace for better understanding. Most of the doors are secured in their place using screws in the frame. Carefully remove the screws and the frame. Pay extra attention to avoid chipping and breakage the glass door while taking it out of the fireplace.
3. Clean the glass door
Now the glass is out from the fireplace, get a glass cleaner and a cloth to begin the cleaning process. Lay down the glass on a flat surface, spray even a layer of cleaner, and let it rest for a few minutes. Rub the glass surface thoroughly using a cleaning cloth. Once the glass is cleaned, allow it to dry in the open air.
4. Clean the inner and outer of the fireplace
Clean the inner side of the fireplace with a cloth and scrub off all the spots and stains from the side walls. You can use a dishwasher for cleaning purposes and a microfiber cloth to remove all the particles. Repeat the same cleaning process for the outer of the fireplace and make it shine like a new one.
5. Install the glass door back on the fireplace
Once everything is cleaned and done, you have to install glass fireplace door back. Carefully align the glass door in the frame and secure it in the frame using screws like it was in the first place.
Now, your glass should be all neat, cleaned, and perfectly installed in the fireplace. It is ready to serve you for the upcoming winter season in all its glory. It is recommended that you must clean your fireplace glass once every year for optimal performance and a pristine look.
