The end of this month in 1984 saw the premiere of the Brilliant & Excellent “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” the introduction of Jeremy Brett’s Holmes! When I first saw this I saw the Detective I looked up to finally existed on screen. Brett inhabited Holmes for me. 🖤🔍🖤

RIP M. Emmet Walsh 😔💔
The apitomy of a Character Actor. He played PI’s, cops, vampires, insurance investigators. Good guys, bad guys and the in between. He made his parts memorable. He gave them grit and heart, but he never overshadowed his fellow actors. But you always remembered an M. Emmet Walsh role. He will be very missed. 💙
