What about a sugar baby plot where she used to be stripper/call girl that is given the opportunity to drop that job in order to be full time for her high paying client. She goes from living pay check to pay check to going on vacations in exotic places and drinking the finest of champagne. The lifestyle is almost addicting to her so when he asks her to be his girlfriend she doesn’t think twice?? It isn’t until other girls flirt with him that she realize that feelings might be involved :))

There is a big lie in this which is that the caterpillar pictured in the top image is in fact Nettlerove who is a beetle of the species Cryptostenus oculatus. But he is a brood parasite of these caterpillars, and appears almost identical to one prior to pupation. They emerge as imagos earlier than the true butterflies around them, and then eat their defenceless colonymates. Life's rough for insects. i really wanted to draw baby (and young adult) Nettlerove sooo much so that's why it's him.

The Tithe tree is one of the reasons our bugs are so big. These trees are gigantic and their leaves are incredibly nutrient rich, and their huge hollow trunks are perfect for building colonies in. The social behaviour of these caterpillars is based off of Eriogaster lanestris, a moth which has eusocial silk-tent-spinning caterpillars :) Their true 'child' stage (instars 1 and 2) lasts a single spring and summer, while the subsequent instar stages last several years each. At pupation the individual can be up to 14 years old. The kids are basically left in their tent entirely unsupervised, and in fact it's an intentional strategy to have them on a lower branch than the main colony; any terrestrial predator looking for food will hopefully eat the kids first and leave the main colony alone (Life's ROUGH for insects!!).

Because the caterpillars are considered adults post instar 3, the winged form is not called "the adult" it's just the imago.

[Transcript: Neonymphalid Caterpillars

The life cycle of the eusocial caterpillars from the Theran butterfly family Neonymphalidae. At hatching they are roughly 13cm long, and at their largest they grow to be approx. 2m long.

They are considered to be adults at instar stage III. At this stage they enter the mature colony and begin to train into their life-long 'careers'. At instar stage IV they are close to pupating, and will make the trek out to their proving grounds for the final growth spurt as caterpillars. The quest is a difficult overland trek, often the first time any individual has touched the ground, and at its end is a forest that they must set ablaze to liberate the nutrient-rich fruit they need to eat. Eggs are deposited on a lower branch of the Tithe tree beneath the adult colony

Instar stage I: They hatch among peers and immediately form a juvenile colony on their host Tithe branch, a group of up to 100. Together they encase the branch and its leaves in a silken tent. At this stage they do not speak, they only eat.

Instar stage II: They begin to grow their distinguishing bristles but remain in their juvenile colony

Instar stage III: Not all caterpillars will reach this stage, as autumn draws in and the leaves become less numerous. Caterpillars who reach stage III will leave their silk tent and travel up the main trunk of the Tithe tree, entering the large, permanent structure of the adult colony. They now have a pair of more specialised binocular eyes.

Instar IV: They have begun to develop some of their adult facial features, including more complex eyes. This individual is a scribe, using a thorn to write on a wax slate in a frame.

Prior to their journey to the burning forest, a final molt occurs which increases the number of bristles. This will protect them from aerial attacks during the rough journey.

The pupa is laid out in a specialist chamber within the main colony once the caterpillars return home. They hatch when temperatures reach a summer range again.]

    if you play ANY sort of villainous character - from a pick-pocket to a full-scale serial killer - and i follow you, please know that i’ve come into this FULL WELL what i’m signing up for. i don’t expect you to soften your character for me, i’m not going to complain when they aren’t nice to my characters, and i honestly probably love watching them do what they do. not all characters are going to be the “good guys”, or the type of villain that can be redeemed. not everyone has a tragic backstory that makes them do the things they do - some people enjoy it, others just do it because they can, and for some it’s all they know. yes, there are villains with a soft spot or two - this doesn’t mean they need to change everything. our characters become friends/lovers even though my character is a “good guy”? you keep doin’ you. keep stealing those purses, killing those people, burning those villages to the ground. 

        tl;dr - I DIDN’T FOLLOW YOU BECAUSE I WANTED SOMETHING SOFT AND EASY - you keep bein’ a villain, babe, cause you’re  just as excellent as the heroes.

he's been . . . journaling. it had begun with the results of rough notes, &. lawrence was engrossed in documenting every sighting he made during his bird-watching excursions, usually taking up a majority of the day following, with the meticulous organizational manner in which he forced himself to document information. from common finch to the rarest of finds. often forgoing even vices like cigarettes to complete it, there are very few things able to break his concentration . . . like dwindling presence in a now dim coffee shop.

however upon clink of dishes near his ear, larry looks upward. he twists the pen in his grasp around in between his fingers with a slight narrow of his brows. he didn't order a coffee . . . though he likely had an expectation to, after he'd finished the first. but as he looks at the muffin, lips twitch into a smirk whilst he looks up with soft blues to follow the waitress back to the counter. there's a sparkle of dopamine &. rush of serotonin, &. he feels noticed. his lips arching into wider smile with fingers lifting to offer a friendly wave. bashful, in nature. looking back towards filled notebook before turning the page, &. scrawling his number onto it. for now he slides it onto the plate that the coffee came on while taking a sip. his eyes fluttering over as he places the glassware back in the saucer over the piece of paper. (still seen). seemingly taking in her features with seemingly harmless curiosity.

moments later he stands up. leaving his stuff as he heads to the door for a smoke -- casting her a glance, which is intended to be inviting in nature. there's one other girl with her. figured she'd have the time for a chat.

it’s getting late, close to closing time. only a couple people linger in the cafe — most being students who’re studying. except for one. she didn’t know his name, nothing about who he was, except that he was attractive. anabel would not normally pay any mind to the customers that went through the cafe. too anxious and worried about herself. but he was different. something about him was just captivating that she couldn’t quite pinpoint. she’s come over to his table, cup of coffee held in shaky hands. it also comes with a free blueberry muffin that he certainly didn’t ask for. but as quickly as she came over, she retreats back to her spot behind the counter. anabel is watching him out of the corner of her eye. maybe there was the smallest hint of a grin on her face.

rusty is grabbing lapels now as his own dramatic lean extends to look at ocean's shoulder. his fingers smoothing back &. forth along the fine fabric. the smile given elicits a soft waver to the man's eyes that he's almost positive only danny could sus out, although perhaps he may be wrong about that. about the others, not him. a small shake of head ushering away the irritation of the lack of seriousness paid to the situation. (hypocritical, though russ finds it's his job to keep ocean grounded somewhere in reality). the prolonged side glance having said in no uncertain terms, knock it off.

though lips purse, watching spreading ichor &. the same realization pulled right from danny's brain &. beamed into his own. "stitches, huh?" he asks. "you think?" he raises a brow, still somewhat crowding ocean.

❝  you know i don't do half-measures.  ❞ the reminder prolongs rusty's banter, levity stretching for as long as it can before potential outside intrusion brings the moment to an end. in return, ocean throws the smile he only ever gives ryan, left side pulled higher than the right, imperfect and almost always paired with a shitty one-liner. his head bends to the side. amusement lingers in his eyes at the other's delayed reaction and poking, danny assisting in revealing the damage as crimson spreads on the sheer white of his otherwise pristine shirt. well .. shit. the suit itself cost more than he made on his first job. uncovered shoulder reveals burned skin and pierced flesh; the kind that'll probably require stitches. ❝  hey, whatever happened to 'not nutsackin' out'?  ❞
