I'm Kelly Annmarie but my nickname is either bell or mutantchild, I've added another year making me a whopping 25, I think everyone is an amazing person in one way or a nother. I know my blog is really random but it's all things I think are pretty or I love so what's it really matter ;) I sound so stupid sometimes cause auto corect but I don't really care anymore. I wish more people would talk on here but what's a girl to do. I'm a nerd I read and write way more then I should but it's a happy place to go to :) I enjoy the simple things in life. I want to learn as much as I can before I die, I would rather be smart then anything else. Ask me anything, I would really like to talk to anyone. I'll answer anything and try to help if I can. ~Bell
so i’m currently working at a law firm and the other day one of the attorneys was talking to me and he mentioned that he’s “not very confrontational” and i was like you are?? a lawyer???
and he said “yeah but in court there are rules. i can argue with some shmuck in a suit in front of a judge no problem, but when i leave the courthouse and go home i’m not gonna argue with my wife about dinner. there are no rules in our kitchen. i would die.”
There are whales alive today that were born before Moby Dick was written. Bowhead whales can live to be over 200 years old, and Herman Melville wrote Moby Dick in 1851. Source Source 2 Source 3
today my anthro professor said something kindof really beautiful:
“you all have a little bit of ‘I want to save the world’ in you, that’s why you’re here, in college. I want you to know that it’s okay if you only save one person, and it’s okay if that person is you”
R.L. Stine never included divorce, drug use, or child abuse in his Goosebumps books because he wanted to make sure that kids understood they were reading a fantasy that could never happen in real life. Source
Ancient Persian engineers made their own freezers that kept ice cold - even during desert summers. By 400 BCE, they had perfected the ‘yakhchal,’ which are made of thick, heat-resistant materials. They had vents to funnel breezes to an underground storage area and push warm air out the top, and ice could be brought in during winter to use for making chilled treats in the summer. Source Source 2
