Big news! We’ve just accessioned this new artwork into our permanent collection! Created with disappearing pigments, this stunning work of art is only visible to the naked eye and disappears in photographs. 🎨 It’ll be on view in the mezzanine gallery starting April 31st! 🖼 https://www.instagram.com/p/BvugKF6grwM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=403o3bdydylf

So how exactly did we suspend the bangka from the ceiling in the “Pacific World” exhibition? Well first, it took a team of 10 just get it in the building! 💪 Then, the professional Connect Art team was able to rig it up for us! The final step was a ceremonial blessing and prayer 💛 Many thanks to all involved! 🙌🏽 https://www.instagram.com/p/BvH-Bavgs5Y/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1dqn8wc3r08ai

Did you remember to “spring forward” this morning? ⏰ This "Baby Ben DeLuxe" alarm clock with a crackle gold finish was made in 1928, manufactured by Westclox. Westclox and its predecessor companies were in business from 1885 to 2001. They made millions of clocks and watches over the years, their most famous products were the Big Ben and Baby Ben alarm clocks. Big Ben was first made in 1908, and Baby Ben was first made in 1910. This Baby Ben was donated to the Museum’s collection by Duane and Marjorie Pollock in 1986. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu1cPI1AvQW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7jnvao5l3qbi
