hey author, can I get a headcanon about Hijikata when he tries to flirt with his s/o?
A/N: Here you go. Apologies for the delay. Hijikata and flirting......
He is a busy man. So, he doesn't have time for such stuff but...... the second he saw a man, other than him, too close to you, he went ballistic.
He knew he had to do something about this. What he really wanted to do was to pull you somewhere private and end this fucking shit by telling you how much he loved you and how much jealous he gets when he sees other men with you. But, he couldn't due to his position. He is the commander of the Shinsengumi. He can't promise you anything. He can't say when he is going to die. So, for him it's the subtle gestures he gives you, unknowingly.
Like always thanking you properly when you bring him tea, getting angry at people who try to tease you, always trying to keep you out of harm's way, often praising you more than others and also scolding you more when try something reckless, etc.
But the day he gets drunk, oh my, he confesses everything. All of his pent-up feelings. He talks to you in the same way as the picture below 👇.

The next morning, he apologises for being rowdy last night and asks you to forget everything but when you admit that the feelings are mutual, he frowns. He tells you that he can't promise you anything but you reassure him that you understand and are ready for anything that the future brings. He shakes his head and mutters something under his breath which you can't understand. At the end, he just smiles and accepts everything as it is.

A/N: Hello, if my day wasn't great before, it just became great now after reading your beautiful words. Thank you. May I ask how you are? I hope you are doing well. I am sorry this took time as I had to do research on it. I thought about it a lot but nothing struck my mind. So, here you are. Enjoy some Baka Trio Friendship Headcanons!
They're always competing and/or making bets on stuff like: who has the highest alcohol tolerance, who can sing/dance the best, who woos the geisha fastest (Heisuke has never won this one and perhaps, he will never), who wins the practice duels, who catches more ronin, who kills more in battles, etc.
Surprise attacks from one another during training are common for them because it is the Shinsengumi rule to be ready for anything always.
One always pairs with a second to annoy the third. Whether it's Harada pairing with Nagakura, Heisuke with Harada or Nagakura with Heisuke, it doesn't matter.
The trio can never truly agree on one thing; one of them always disagrees but ends up losing to the other two and has to agree to what they agree (mostly, it's Heisuke. I'm sorry).
The time when Heisuke first joined the Shiei hall and met Harada and Nagakura, he behaved nicely to them but after some time, he thought that they were just some childish fools (I know. I'm sorry but I strongly headcanon this and no, I don't have any personal hatred against Heisuke. Who can hate a cinnamon roll?) and kept his distance from them. He even tried to befriend the others but it didn't work; Kondou was busy. Hijikata was not that friendly and he was busy too. Okita was all rude. Saitou was still not there. Inoue-san (or Gen-san) was a bit old for friendship. So, he thought he was stuck with them but as time passed, he came to realise that his assumptions were not true and they were nice men, and excellent warriors. Thus, they came to be known as The Famous Baka Trio.

A/N: It's interesting. Will be happy to write it. Here are some Modern AU Occupation headcanons.
Hijikata Toshizou: I can definitely picture him as the CEO of a well known company.
Saitou Hajime: Either a teacher or a soldier in the military.
Okita Souji: (I can only imagine him working under Kondou-san.) Anchor of a reality show or even a stand-up comedian. He can also be a celebrity always famous everywhere due to his rudeness.
Harada Sanosuke: Councellor and a well known YouTuber. An unintentional celebrity. Women still can't stop simping over him.
Todou Heisuke: An athlete because he is just so energetic.
Nagakura Shinpachi: A bodybuilder. Can also run a gym.
Kondou Isami: Head of a Social Welfare Organisation.
Sannan Keisuke: Definitely a scientist.
Yamazaki Susumu: A military doctor. (I know this is no different from the canon but I can only imagine him like that. I'm sorry.)
Kazama Chikage: CEO of Hijikata's rival company. The company is run by his whole family.
Amagiri Kyuju: Soldier of the other country's military.
Shiranui Kyo: Works in the Black Market. Guns are his favourite for illegal trading.
Sen Hime: Is that one rich kid who is treated like a princess by her parents. Thus, doesn't have to work or to be more precise, her parents don't let her work.
Yukimura Chizuru: Is that one girl who goes to school and studies hard, but nothing much comes out of it and ends up being a housewife. She can also become a nurse or even a doctor if she really tries.

A/N: Why not?! Definitely! Sorry, this got late. I live in South Asia. Our timing is different. I was sleeping when you asked this. 😂 Lol. I hope you like it. Wishing our beloved demon commander a Tea-rific belated birthday!
(But, did people in those days even celebrate birthdays? I'm not sure. Let's just assume that they did.)
He is the kind of person who regards things such as birthdays as insignificant but Kondou-san (to the rescue!) will definitely not let him go like this. A very important meeting is called for, immediately!
Hijikata is suspicious, but in the end, he decides to leave them alone.
Sannan is given the job of distracting him, which he tries to do. But unfortunately, Hijikata becomes more suspicious as to what they are up to.
Saitou and Okita are given the job of purchasing gifts, which they do in entirely different ways. Saitou is all serious about it and concludes some nice Tea would be practical since Hijikata loves tea (until his eyes fall on a Katana shop). Okita still uses this opportunity to poke fun at him and purchases Haiku (so that later, he can tell him to read them properly and improve his own).
Todou, Harada and Nagakura are given the kitchen duties, which was a terrible idea because they end up fighting over the menu and purchasing their favourite foods for Hijikata's birthday party.(*Sigh*)
Chizuru is given the duty of making rice cake (since modern cakes didn't exist in that time) or mochi. Fortunately, she completes the task with excellence.
It's time and as soon as the demon commander enters the dining area; Surprise! Happy Birthday! He gives them a happy smile (even after knowing they are going to get drunk and annoy him). Things were imperfect, but he didn't care. At the end of the day, it is the good intentions behind these things that truly matter. He really loved the fact that there are people who care about him. The people whom he can call his family.

A/N: Hello, thank you so much for asking this! I just started writing this blog yesterday and today I have a request. I can't believe it! I'm blessed! I'm pretty nervous since English is not my first language but I hope it's angsty enough and you like it. 🙂. My deepest apologies if this got late. I still have to do my studies. I hope you understand. So, I'll be doing a Souji Drabble.
This is not possible, is it? Souji didn't want to speculate as to why she would do this. He lets out a nervous laugh. I k-know she's simply teasing me. But the truth won't vanish if you just close your eyes. He loved her. He loved her so damn much. She was the only one he trusted after Kondou-san. But then realisation struck him. If his life wasn't already miserable enough, it was now. Who knows how many times people had broken his trust and now she did the same thing. He placed his already fragile trust upon her and she crushed it. She kissed H-Hijikata. And not him. She didn't love him. So, all that care and kindness she showed him was fake. She lied. Souji was trembling while trying to control his tears. How dare she? He wanted to snatch her away from Hijikata and tightly bind her in his arms so that she could not leave. However, he knew he could not do it. She was not his. She would never be his. His mischievous façade worn out, only to disclose his hidden insecurities. He was not even decent for her. He could never match her standards. After all, who would love a person who had the infamous disease of TB. He felt his tears becoming uncontrollable. He left the porch and went into his room to try to sleep. Could he even sleep? No, he couldn't. He spent the whole night shivering in a room filled with his own cries. The morning was here and he saw her for the last time as she left Edo with Hijikata. Souji spent the rest of his days in silence and agony.

A/N: Aww. Of course. Who can refuse some Toshi Fluff? I hope you enjoy!
He had a medical background so he has a good understanding of them. Not to mention his older sister.
Expect some very effective home remedies. He would also ask Inoue-san to bring you some hot water or tea once in a while.
If they don't work, he would send Saitou to get some medicine.
If it somehow still doesn't work, he will ask Yamazaki to check up on you.
He would ask you, whenever he has free time, if you are alright and need anything. If you do need something, someone would be sent immediately to fetch it.
It's not like he doesn't want to comfort you himself. He really, really does but he is buried under work and has no time.
When you voice your thoughts and say you want him to be close, he thinks: The paperwork can go fuck itself for tomorrow. For now, you need him more.
Now, he tends to you himself, stroking your hair gently before placing a light kiss on your forehead as he places his warm, comforting hand over your abdomen. This is it. This is what you needed to relax and doze off. Finally.
