Got around to write some Character design notes for the Amulet Rewrite of book 4, specifically for the kiddos.

I did draw them in spandex/underwear because it makes body references easier and I poped off in the anatomy, if I may toot my own horn.

All this to say, if you feel uncomfortable by this then feel free to ignore this post, no blame for anything. Just know that this is not meant to be adult in nature (because Ew, they're kids), just a reference sheet for my headcanons.

That post that's like "stop writing characters who talk like they're trying to get a good grade in therapy" really blew the door wide open for me about how common it's become for a character's emotional intelligence to not be taken into consideration when writing conflict. I remember the first time I went to therapy I had such a hard time even identifying what I was feeling, let alone had the language to explain it to someone else. Of course there are plenty of people who've never been to therapy a day in their life who are in tune to their emotions. But even they would have some trouble expressing themselves sometimes. You have to take into account there are plenty of people who are uncomfortable expressing themselves and people who think they're not allowed to feel certain ways. It also makes for more interesting conflict to have characters with different levels of understanding.

Why did I think this would've been quick... It wasn't.

3) Def not inspired by the amazing anime about an elf.

4) This is actually Trellis's to-go hairstyle if he has to provide aid.

5) I didn't fully commit to the actual look, but in my head, this happens Post-Rewrite where Trellis has to disguise himself for some reason.

6) Good lord. Did not expect him to look a lot like Griffith.

7) ngl, my fav look for him. However, his hair in this part was a nightmare to draw.

8) an AU where Trellis stuck w his mom. I like to believe why current Trellis has the hairstyle he has was bc he just grew out his hair our of neglect, and just recently gotten into taking care of it again. Here, he was never neglected, hence maintained the hairstyle (which was a cultural thing).

9) Idk, in my head it's some kind of important ceremony, hence the more formal getup.
