I did post the new chapter (the penultimate chapter), and am midway through the final chapter. I have been so swamped and feel so bad that my audience is mostly gone due to my delay. I hope you’ll still be around for my final chapter, which should be out in the next couple of days.

I do think it's kind of unfortunate that they really regressed on Radar's character as M*A*S*H went on. Like in the first season he was shown drinking with Hawk and Trap and smoking Henry's cigars and even scoring with one of the nurses during "The Army-Navy Game" but then even in season 2 they're starting to making him more innocent and he makes a face when Trapper gives him a sip of gin at the end of "Kim" - even though just one season earlier he was shown drinking in the Swamp almost as much as Trap and Hawk

Like honestly I think it added to his character a lot, those little moments of him engaging in vices, because it really added to the air of a kid who was forced to grow up too soon, which is kind of the point of Radar. He joined the Army after dropping out of high school (based on the GED test that Henry gives him), and now his role models are Henry, Trap, and Hawkeye. Of course he's going to lean into the drinking and smoking. He can still have other innocent qualities (fumbling around the nurses, his teddy, even being a little clueless about reproduction), but it honestly makes more sense for him to be indulging like the others then not.
