Akimaki-san's art in FDS has always been heavily stylized but mostly pretty on model. Yuugi was a bit experimental. But the leash is off in the current issue. Koishi with the stitched-shut third eye. Vengeful spirits with little hands. But especially the main attraction: this Okuu!

Her hair and bow are both like feathery wings. Her actual wings are so huge you can't see her star-filled cape. SHE HAS SCULPTED THE CORIUM OF HER ELEPHANT'S FOOT INTO AESTHETIC ARMOR. She somehow got tights on over it.

Okuu was always the most proudly, unapologetically overdesigned character in a series filled with hyper-accesorized chuuni characters but this takes her a step beyond. I'm in awe.
