See but that’s part of it. The nuns tried to make him be right handed but it didn’t stick. In this way he is Not Like Other Boys, an Outcast, but in a way that is fundamentally superficial and insignificant. c!Sam is a character that is very self-reliant and has a strong sense of trust in his own mind and opinions separate from external validation, but simultaneously is fundamentally not really a rebel or someone who questions the underpinnings of authority.
