just a reminder to COMPLETELY boycott Eurovision this year; Azerbaijan and Israel, despite committing genocide, are STILL allowed to compete & have NOT been banned. by refusing to ban both countries, Eurovision is profiting off of the genocide of Palestinians and Armenians.
do not listen to the artists. do not pirate or stream the artists' music, and this applies to ALL the artists who are competing and performing this year. do not listen to the songs on ANY platform, do not give them ANY attention.
write to your broadcasters and tell them you REFUSE to watch the channels until they recognise the Armenian and Palestinian genocides & that you find it disgusting how they are allowing Eurovision despite Azerbaijan and Israel's entries.
do NOT give eurovision OR the competing artists ANYTHING but silence.
boycott ALL of eurovision.

“In Palestine…we are born and we are raised on stories, to cherish stories, to love stories, to seek stories, and at the same time, we are taught early in our lives to tell and retell these stories that we hear from our grandparents, especially our grandmothers, and our parents, especially our mothers...these very stories are the stories that shaped me, that made me the person I am now, the stories that inspire me to continue...that teach me the moral lessons, the stories that connect me to my past, to how my parents lived under Israeli occupation, my grandparents…[storytelling] connects all the generations...as a Palestinian we feel obliged to tell the story...if the story stops, if we don’t narrate the stories to others, the stories are going to die, and [destroy] our heritage and future... Israel wants to push us to despair…to stop telling stories, to stop living, to stop studying, to stop going to university, to stop going to work, and that’s why, as Palestinians, we see every aspect of our lives… as resistance, even going to school, even the mundane, horrible, boring task of doing your homework, we see this as resistance…living is an act of resistance.”
— Dr. Refaat Alareer, the Palestinian author, poet, and professor of English literature, who was born in Gaza, and was there assassinated, on December 6, 2023, by an Israeli airstrike. The quote is from this podcast, ""Gaza Writes Back: Narratives on Children and Youth," recorded in 2021, which I recommend listening to in its entirety, and the photograph was taken by Refaat's friend, the Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha.

Between Paramount’s endorsement of Israel and the fat jokes from the Cinemacon trailer, the Keanu casting is just another nail in the coffin for this movie.

I'm sorry if you're tired of thinking about ofmd and that whole mess but goddamn... it's incredibly painful to see so many people trying to set up fundraisers to get their families out of gaza and the sudan and desperately trying to get their loved ones to safety, I've seen so many and everyday I check to see how much progress they've made, most of them still haven't hit their goal. It hurts to see people rally around a tv show and raise all this money for a billboard, and it's very frustrating to see how people have reacted to this criticism. Like bro tv shows get canceled sometimes there's more important stuff going on
Someone else said it better but to see a fundraiser for tv show renewal advertisements raise $20,000 in less than a day while it takes days/weeks/months/years/never for fundraisers for actual causes that help real people in need reach a goal of less is absolutely dystopian and shameful

Israel had shut off water and electricity from Gaza 110 days ago. One hundred and ten days ago. Most of us would literally not survive this long without clean water and electricity. Look around you right now and tell me how many things in your vicinity depend on electricity. Are you able to imagine a life without uninterrupted access to water? I still remember the old lady who was interviewed in a tent who said "the question you should be asking me is how long ago was the last time I showered".
To know that millions of people have their literal life spans, their movement, their access to water, when they can eat, what and how much they can eat, when and how often they can shower, how and where they sleep - to have it all be controlled and dictated for them while also, simultaneously, the mere idea of providing them with aid is "out of everyone's hands"?
There are fucking miles of aid trucks, filled with essentials, that are stopped right outside of Gaza at the Rafah border, while people inside of Gaza are freezing and starving and dreaming of clean water to drink. How does this not infuriate you?
Fuck Israel and every nation that enables and emboldens it.

For the 21st week in a row, the Yemeni masses gathered in all governorates for their million-man march in support of Palestine, this week under the title "You Are Not Alone...Steadfast With Gaza."
Protestors held up banners of Aaron Bushnell, the 25-year-old American soldier that self-immolated in front of the zionist embassy in Washington DC in support of Gaza.
The march organizers again reaffirmed the continuation of demonstrations and marches in support of Palestine, as well as the continuation of military mobilization and training, which has so far trained 237,000 new Yemeni soldiers.
They condemned the disgraceful stance and collusion of Arab regimes with the zionist entity, while praising the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces, asserting that they will not stop until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the siege is lifted.
Finally, they called for the continued boycott of American and zionist products.
