I love the way Spock has a jealousy fit over Carol coming aboard. He's like: "Jim, you've just confessed that you'd miss me, and you're already requesting an additional science officer?! How can you do this to me!!!" And whoever said, Vulcan's were not demonstrative with their emotions. You can see it all on Spock's face: the shock, the disbelief, the anger, the hurt. And ohhh: if looks could kill, Carol would be dead meat! 💀
And after that him waiting for the opportunity to drop this bombshell on Jim's head, revealing her true identity to Jim, just to enjoy the look on his face: oh, he was SO MUCH enjoying the sweet, sweet revenge! All those emotions, that he could not hide, shining through: the amusement, the joy, the satisfaction, the triumph! And underneath all of it - love to Jim: the softness in his eyes when he looks at him! Spock is so emotionally involved, when Jim is concerned.
"Yes! Take THAT, you stupid-"science-officer-my-ass"-bitch! And you, Jim: this will teach you to choose some stupid-blond-"science-officer-imposter-bitches-from-hell" over your loaful T'hy'la!"
