last dragon on earth in moominvalley 2019 is so beautiful with the dragon symbolizing BOTH Snufkin AND Moomin… simultaneously craving Snufkin’s attention and needing Moomin to give it space… when Love Me With All Of Your Heart played there was so much intricacy to which character was the singer and which character was the object of the song… the fact that this was the first episode where we saw Moomin and Snufkin interacting, emphasizing the strain put on their relationship by their simultaneous desires for closeness and space… by Snufkin’s travels, which are necessary to him… by Moomin’s clingyness, equally necessary… the struggle for balance, the desperate desire for love to prevail over the very nature of the lover & beloved… cinematic poetry
on the other hand nothing can match the SHEER EPIC DRAMA of last dragon on earth in 1990s Moomin… the escalating tension of Snufkin’s card reading, saying he should leave early if he catches five minnows… Moomin’s desperation that Snufkin should stay close and his sheer terror at the thought of him leaving… The mounting anxiety as he fears that both the dragon and Snufkin will leave him… Moomin’s letting go of the dragon and symbolically letting go of Snufkin, allowing him to follow his nature, mournful but still accepting and loving… Snufkin’s giving away not only the dragon, but also his five minnows, deliberately disobeying the cards despite adamantly believing in them, because he would rather make Moomin happy… an epic tale for the ages!!!

Where should I start watching moomins? I remember watching and listening to stories as a child but barely remember anything and I knowthere’s a new series?
You can watch the 90s verison full episodes on the moomin offical youtube itself.
I watch the 2019 verison of kiss cartoons, be careful as it does have pop ups and 18+ ads.
I believe you can find the fuzzy felt movies on there as well.
I dont really know where else to find the moomin series, I think it all depends on which one you want to watch.
