I think the most autistic thing Dr. Reid has ever done was when he was able to talk for 15 minutes straight about almost complete bullshit and make it entirely believable when he had to save him and Hotch from getting murdered in the jail unattended. the ability to know that much and to talk that convincingly without interruption is some of the best autistic representation out there I swear

It’s silly. You have second guesses about even asking Eddie, even though you know damn well he’d be more than happy to oblige you. You’re reading a romance novel on the bed while Eddie sits on the chair in the corner by the window. He’s got a pencil between his teeth, his acoustic guitar on his lap and a stack of sheet music balancing on his leg. He’s been working on an original song all afternoon and you can tell by the way his eyebrows are creased that he’s stuck.
Bookmarking your novel, you finally decide to ask him. Maybe it’ll spark some inspiration. “Eddie?” you ask sweetly.
He removes the pencil from his mouth. “Yeah, baby?”
You slip off of the bed and walk over to him. “Will you try something with me?”
“Right now? I’m working on this song.”
“This won’t take five minutes,” you lift the guitar and place it on its stand. You hold out your hand to Eddie, “plus, you need a break.”
Eddie sighs, shuffling the sheet music onto the dresser. “Alright,” he grabs your hand and follows you to the doorframe. “What’s all this about?”
Your body starts to feel tingly just at the thought of Eddie acting this scene out with you. After reading it so many times in your romance novels, you want to know what it’s all about. “Okay, so you know, like, in the books I read where the guy leans against the doorframe and looks down at the girl?”
You demonstrate to him as you explain what it is you want him to do. “Uh, yeah. Sure,” Eddie says, even though he doesn’t totally know what you’re talking about.
“Do you think you could do it?”
Eddie sort of stares at you because it sounds simple but the eagerness in your voice makes him think there’s more to it. “Just…” he inches closer to you, “put my arm above my head and lean down?”
“Mhm,” you bat your eyes while pressing your back to the doorframe.
Eddie doesn’t wait a moment longer to comply with your wishes. Smooth as honey, he rests his hand against the frame, slips his hand into his pocket, and steps forward, boxing you in. He dips his head down, your noses almost brushing against each other before you feel your knees literally go weak and you fold to the ground. The giggles leaving your lips match the feeling in your tummy- effervescent and electric.
“Like that?” Eddie asks with a wide smile.
“Mmm,” you straighten your back. “Mhm, that was good.”
“Let me try again, yeah?” his voice lowers as if he’s cooking up something sinister. You reset the scene, if you will, and Eddie comes up to you the same way. Only this time, he nudges his knee between your legs, brushing against your crotch. Even if you wanted to fold, you can’t. He’s got you trapped. He lowers his head again, noses finally meeting when he ghosts his lips over your cheek. He places his other hand on your hip and when his mouth reaches the shell of your ear he whispers, “you going to be a good girl for me?”
Those effervescent bubbles in your tummy explode through your entire body. This boy, your boy, is actually the book boyfriend of your dreams. Who the hell needs romance novels when you’ve got good source material right in front of you?
