Cream silk sack back gown, or robe a la francaise, in an open style, made of silk with warp-printed stripes in shades of pink, green and yellow. Sides of bodice lined with linen. Bodice fitted only towards neck and then flaring outwards. Lining lacing under pleats. Edges trimmed with ruched self fabric edged with pink and green chenille braid, wider panel of similar puffed and ruched trimming each side of skirt opening. Skirt shaped for side hoops and with slight train. Three quarter sleeves with elaborately puckered and ruched cuffs.
