A is a sad man at rock bottom, a shadow of his former self, severely depressed and lost in life until he finds hope upon meeting B. B is hesitant to help him at first, but he gives in, seeing A's determination, and the two of them start to travel together. B agrees to teach A what he knows, and they form an alliance based on different, but still compatible goals.

During the months they spend traveling together across the country, they brave many trials together. Their motivations change, and they are now working towards a common end. Having had nobody but each other for company for months, they're more than traveling companions now. They grow to genuinely care for each other. They cook for each other. They crack jokes. A is always appreciative of B's gags, no matter how corny or overly complicated they may be.

They've become perfectly in sync in battle. They bleed together and cry together. Eventually, they begin to prioritize each other's safety even over their original goals, their reasons for traveling together in the first place. They put each other over all else in the world.

B is killed by a powerful enemy that the pair face together, leaving A in shock. In A's moment of weakness, the enemy tries to propose a deal for him. He claims that he can use his power to reunite B with A. Overcome with grief, A seriously considers it. He wants to believe him. He wants to believe that he can strike up the deal with their enemy, and that he will uphold it and return his friend to him unharmed. He breaks down, imploring the enemy to give him a reason to trust him, believe what he's saying. He needs it to be true.

Happy Apple

The Apple was corroded over the years by her Tree, losing her luster. She continues to fake a shiny skin to avoid anyone seeing her true core, but the Happiest is the one person who sees through this facade. Initially terrified, the Happiest then decides to try and make the Apple glow for real, trying and failing over and over again. During one of their interactions, the Happiest realizes that despite the fear she sometimes feels around the Apple, she truly enjoys speaking with her.

The Happiest is part of a group whose goal it is to make everyone smile, but the Apple is singled out in the Happiest's eyes. During one performance, the Apple happened to be in the audience. This caused a spark of motivation in the Happiest's performance that even caught the rest of her group-mates off guard. Later, the Happiest meets the Apple's friends and learns the truth about the Apple, which only motivates her more to somehow help.

Meanwhile, the Apple has been mostly oblivious to the Happiest's antics, but isn't unappreciative of the failed efforts to make her glow for real. At one point, she is even able to speak genuinely with the Apple, asking to forgo formalities between them. While it is unlikely that the Happiest will be the one to return the Apple's luster, that hasn't stopped them from meeting with each other and getting closer to each other more and more.

There is a trend I’ve noticed that smut fics tend to be much more popular than anything else and honestly I just want to have something to look at to remind myself and that writing doesn’t have to have sex to be worth putting out into the community.

JJBA Second Child, Restless Child - what's up with the Higashikata family? (timeskip lore)

Tsurugi Higashikata - 26 years old. Tried very hard to move in after his father's death, in contrast to his mom, who was often melancholic and trapped in the past. In his preteen-teen years, he spent a lot of time sith Josuke and Yasuho, who had moved into their own apartment together around the time of Sudo's birth. He moved out as soon as he came of age, partially to give his younger sister her own room and partially as a way to distance himself from thoughts of his father. After a few years, he became more comfortable spending time at the house, and now he often comes over to spend time with his family. Currently works in advertising. He lives alone and is single without any particular serious thoughts of romance at the moment.

Mitsuba Higashikata - 46. She was a hot mess for the first few months after Jobin's death, but tried to get it together more for the sake of her family. She didn't try nearly as hard to move on as Tsurugi, and because of this, while she has it together enough to be a functional human being and mother, she sometimes has melancholic days and episodes where she can't do much but lie in bed. Due to this, her relationship with her daughter can be tumultuous. However, she is just as protective of her as she is of her son.

Norisuke Higashikata IV - 75. It seems he started showing age faster after the deaths of his eldest son and ex-wife. Made the original decision to keep the events of Jobin's death a secret to Sudo. He always had it together enough to be a strong head of the family and a good granfather to his second grandchild, but he now requires a hearing aid to converse with his family and a cane to get around. That being said, he is very functional for his age. He's having trouble with the task of finding an heir to the company, deciding between the second oldest child or the only remaining son, neither of whom seem likely to have kids any time soon.

Hato Higashikata - 40. Following the deaths of her mother and brother, she reevaluated her relationships with them. She was able to forgive her mother after her death, but the realization that she really did not know her brother or mother well at all by the time they died caused her to move on the fastest out of everyone in the family. She dated a few times, but ultimately decided she was in no rush to get married or having kids. She still works as a model, even as she approaches middle age. Additionally, she helps her father out with company business, demonstrating a surprising level of fluency with such matters for someone who was quite airheaded in her youth.

Joshu Higashikata - 34. Hasn't matured much emotionally in the time between 19 and 34. In those 15 years, he managed to go on one date. She left early. After his older brother's death, he became moody and somehow even more snappish. He was abonormally rude to his neice as a way of "coping" with Jobin's death. Even now, the two of them don't really like each other. He still has the same bickering relationship he had with his older sister, even now. Also assists his father with business matters. He wants to inherit the company, but the low odds of him producing an heir are on everyone in the family's minds when he brings that up.

Daiya Higashikata - 31. Was able to move on somewhat easily from the deaths of her mother and brother, but laments the fact she never truly got the chance to know her mom and misses having a much older brother to look up to. Runs a successful social media account where she posts lifestyle and fashion content, using advanced haptic technology to aid her in posting. The only member of the Higashikata family currently in relationship. She has been dating a pro sports player for five months by the time the story of SCRC takes place. (She also learned boundaries)

It just occurs to me but like. There's a chance that Mitsuba and Jobin's second kid will show up in The JoJolands (though I don't think it's super likely?) and then I'll have go ababdon SCRC...
