Hello!
Welcome to a recap of Ms. Holt’s Fall 2021 semester.
Blog posts begin with a link to my school’s page, as well as an article written about my involvement in the community. Then, posts are organized by lessons that have been taught throughout the semester with examples of student artwork, as well as videos from class. To the left of the webpage, there are icons linked to my social media where my personal artwork can be viewed.  You will also find links to my resume, EDA, classroom management plan, 2 detailed lesson plans, and my evaluations from my co-operating teacher, Ms. Kelly Soloninka.

Lesson Plan 2: Graphic Recording
Using previously learned gesture drawing skills, students learned about graphic recording, a process where one sketches out key points in a meeting or class as a form of note taking. Students were able to build their drawing skills while learning a useful skill that can be applied to real life and their other classes at school.
See links on the left for written lesson plan and performance assessment rubric.

Students learned about the practice of gesture to build a plan for a drawing. We practiced this with Ms. Holt’s Gesture Game. Random prompts were given and students had 2 minutes to come up with an idea and gesture out a rough drawing.
