Woorim Beach Bribie Island. About 40mins north of the city and over an old rickety bridge you can find Brisbanes closest ‘surf beach’. Really its got no surf just white sand and blue water which is a nice change from the brown of the brisbane river and the shell cladded shore that is called sandgate. Good food. Good pub. Few picnic spots but plenty of sand area to claim for a day!
