your f/o would not care abt any 'abnormal' speech mannerisms you've got btw.
stutter? that's ok, they're more than happy to wait to let you get the words out, it just gives them an extra few seconds to appreciate your voice. Even if you get caught up on the same word a few times or the whole sentence struggles a little, they're not gonna make fun of you. It's you talking, what could ever be 'wrong' with that?
mix up your words? that's totally ok! whether you'd rather try again and say what you actually meant to say or just wanna repeat a few bits so they get the gist, they're not gonna make fun of you. even if you don't notice that you swapped around some words, they've gotten pretty good at deciphering your meaning, time together letting them hone their skills.
forget what you were saying halfway through it? that's totally fine too! whether they give you a few minutes to try and remember or just move past it till something jogs your memory again, they're fine to offer up some ideas on what it might've been about or a new topic to get your mind off of it.
use a lot of 'fluff' in your speech (ie. 'umm,' 'like,' 'uhh,' etc.)? they're not gonna rush the words out of you or interrupt your speech. They're more than happy to give you all the time in the world to talk, no matter how rambly and long-winded it might seem. They like hearing what you have to say and your thoughts are priceless to them.

hmmm another thought i had for the entire day. obviously this is just me being a hopeless romantic but. if me and kafka were ever to get married– the wedding night would not be ohh so passionate and extra and amazing, something straight out of a movie. nope.
we arrive to our room, i sit on the bed and pass out HAHA but seriously, weddings are sooo exhausting and i would be probably barely contacting after it </3 i'm ignoring all the hairclips in my hair and pins, and braids that very much need to be unbraided, makeup, no, nope, let me pass out please
i don't obviously and we take a nice bath. after spending at least good ten minutes of dealing with my hair, another five dealing with hers, then the outfit and oh my god, make up... until we finally go take that damn bath </3
it's familiar. just how we spend most of our evenings– maybe with the difference that none of us is talking right now. the silence is comfortable though, only interrupted by quiet splashes of water.
what a lovely feeling it'd be, to look at her and be able to call her my wife. hm.

⤷ so, you see, we both are the heads of our respective departaments. and we both are good at our job! i joined not so long ago and already climbed quite high, surprising everyone with my abilities. everything was going smooth until me and kafka had a... small, truly small disagreement in public except i was in the wrong and my wounded pride did not let it slide. but it was fine, we didn't talk that often, it was fine.
⤷ it was not. after that, our ways started to intertwine more often than i'd like them to... during work, in the halls somewhere by an accident, during my breaks, and we started to unfortunately talk more often. it was... ah, weird.
⤷ the problem was that kafka wasn't even... a terrible person. sure, she was smug and sometimes annoying, and her voice was just so distracting, but... she was outstanding at her job even, and during the few times we actually had a "nice" chat, i... found myself enjoying it... why am i even telling you this? come on, shoo, don't you have work to do? i surely do.
⤷ (you see them suddenly getting up from the chair, the mix of blonde and brown locks bouncing with the sudden movement, and continuing so as they walk away, heels knocking on the floor. my, my, did they get embarrassed?)
⤷ (as they are about to turn into the hallway, they suddenly stop and step back, just as no one else but kafka appears from behind the wall, her signature, lazy smile on her lips. she says something and jen scoffs, as they cock their hip and tilt their head to the side.)
⤷ (they talk for a moment more, but you can't discern what exactly the conversation is about. soon, it ends, and jen leaves with a flip of their hair, leaving visibily amused kafka. you can't see it, obviously, but away from prying eyes curious ears, jen's shoulders shake with silent laughter...)
⤷ right... ah, yes. haha. it's embarrassing, just a little. i suppose that... little one-sided rivarly of mine turned into a crush. all my beloved co-workers were teasing me all the time, seeing me, apparently, so distracted over the thought of a certain woman from another departament. they didn't listen when i tried objecting to their baseless accusations!
⤷ i think kafka found this entire situation very amusing, much to my displeasure and she was the first to suggest us going out somewhere and... well...
(jen makes some... interesting hand movements and blows out the air, before blinking and humming.)
we started dating at some point. frankly, i myself am not sure how exactly it all went. i think it just happened, things started getting a bit different than betwen a pair of friends and... hm!
⤷ ah, i forgot! we live together, by the way– oh, don't look like at me like that! rent when you're together is cheaper and her place is far better than mine. and, who would i be to say no to free car ride work every morning, ah? although i do sometimes worry for my life when she's behind the wheel. just a little. sometimes.
⤷ honestly, there's nothing better than a warm bath with kafka after a looong day... and gossips, of course. but there's something about long baths with her that just... really is relaxing, alright?

౨ৎ NOTES ; and generally my thoughts
⤷ we actually meet in highschool !! kuni was a year higher than me, we met through a school literature club. we were assigned together to some activity and, honestly, it was hard at first... although i was already known as the social butterfly in class, first time talking one on one with kuni was absolutely nerve-wracking. after few months we became close friends though! it's funny, although i was quite popular in my class... it still felt lonely sometimes. it felt a little less with him.
⤷ i fell for him and it took me a good month of realizing and constantly denying it. he fell for me and it took him months of realizing and constantly denying. i'm surprised that we actually ended up getting together! it happened some time before my graduation, when i was hanging out at his place and whining about how stressful everything was, and how worried i was about the future, and finals, and everything between, and... it just happened. he kissed me a few weeks later.
⤷ he unfortunately had to manage through the absolute mess i was after graduation; people i once knew started to drift away, i wasn't actually sure what i wanted to do after school and so many other issues... but he stayed with me and he was actually the one suggesting this whole florist thing– there still was time, after all. and i love flowers. you see, he buys me both real flowers and fake flowers often. the real ones are pretty boquets, and the fake ones are for me to arrange into pretty, little baskets when i'm bored.
⤷ walks together <3 down by the river, through the neighborhood, small forests, down by the train rails and many random places. movie dates and sleepovers, him studying while i lie on his bed and either read something, watch something or nap. if we happen to have enough free time and he's in the mood, i sometimes go with him to shopping malls... not to buy stuff, no, but judge how expensive everything is save for this one clothing store we have to visit, because i'm sure i'll find something nice for myself.
⤷ frankly, i was surprised to see him picking physics for his major. i knew he was good at science subjects, he even tutored me, but i never expected him to actually go into that direction... always expected history or something literature related. sometimes it makes me feel a little stupid around him, with oh how smart he is, compared to me and my stupid flowers but. he's fast to knock that thought out of my mind.
⤷ although kuni is a physics major, this man's knowledge about literature rivals mine... truly. literature debates are a weekly thing for us at this point. just grabbing a book and discussing its characters, arguing about its characters and going to far, far lenghts to defend our point. it goes past books too, sometimes we discuss movies or games and it seriously turns into a whole ass debate !! i always enjoy them though <3
⤷ my favourite thing to do ever is when we are about to sleep, im lying my head on his chest and simply talking about random things. about my day, about things i saw today, about my plans for the next day, all until i fall asleep. sometimes i'm too tired and barely last few minutes, sometimes kuni has to force me to go to sleep because if he doesn’t, we gonna end up staying till the morning.
