I just realized I didn't properly explain what I used from @azalea-towne so I think it's a good time to do that (12 hours late lol)
I saw their post about their own Sonic OC as well as little headcanons for how her character fit into the universe so I basically used the same structure she used for their post.
Just wanted to clarify that. lol
Howdy, new tumblr mainly focused on my Sonic OC, Mirage! Here's a little thing I kinda took from @azalea-towne
Mirage the Wolf is an anthropomorphic wolf that resides in an orphanage in Park Avenue sometime after the events of Sonic Forces. After the Eggman War she worked alongside the Reclamation to help rebuild the city and by extension, the orphanage. Her oldest memories are of her at the orphanage helping take care of the other kids there. She found it so enriching she purposefully avoided being adopted simply so she could stay behind and care for the kids there.
Mirage is an openly warm and caring person, focusing on supporting others as best she can. She's also a bit of an adventurous spirit despite choosing to chain herself down to the orphanage (which may explain why she's so quick to venture to the Starfall Islands to find the missing child). She's also quick to anger, especially toward anyone posing a threat to those under her care. While she may not be very physically powerful, she's exceptionally tenacious. Refusing to give up even at her own detriment.

She spent most of the events of Forces hiding with everyone from the orphanage and she actually doesn't know most of what happened thanks to her hiding as far away from the action as she could
Her story takes place in a mix of the IDW and games canon. The IDW comics happened but also the Starfall Islands are an important location
She's pansexual/panromantic
She idolizes Sonic and the rest of the Resistance/Restoration since she felt they did more than she ever could to protect her family
As a child she got in a ton of fights with other kids, which she usually lost, to protect others
