BUT WHEN I REMEMBERED THE TWO TIMES HADES BOUGHT TAKEOUT FOR PERSEPHONE PRE TIMESKIP, AND WENT SEARCHING FOR THEM JUST AS PART OF THE BIT, I DIDN'T THINK I'D ACTUALLY COME TO THE REALIZATION THAT ONE OF THOSE TIMES WAS HIM BRINGING HOME DONUTS

GUESS WHO’S BACK!!

Hi! It’s been forever since I’ve posted on here. I wanna say close to a year or even longer but I got caught up on LO and im ready to come back as RS number one hater. I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that I’m really a hater at heart but i think im ok with that lol.

Anyways the topic of discussion is between Hera and Zeus. So I was reading the latest episode and it seems like we’re back to talking about the plan with Kronos. Now we’ve been over this story line a lot and im not necessarily mad because this storyline is one of the few things that I like about LO but, I always get so mad whenever RS makes the root of their problems (Hera and Zeus) begin at this plan. I feel like that is so lazy and with all the time that they’ve been together RS had a lot of chances to make Zeus’s infidelity be caused by something other than jealousy. I honestly think that it’s lazy and if there was a better origin of his cheating habit then maybe the audience would have a little more sympathy towards him as a character. But of course that can’t happen because in order to make hades look less like an awful person, you first have to make every male look even worse.

That’s the end of my rant but I lowkey hope you missed me and be prepared for me to be back in my active era!

Hi! So it is safe to say that it has been a while. I’ve been inactive for like two months or something like that and I really thought that my posts weren’t all that important but I recently checked my notifications and saw that a couple of pl were still interested in what I had to say and because of that I decided that it would be a good time to show up again. 

But moving right along I just want to come out and say I cannot stand the idea of persephone being potrayed as this wonderful goddess. Now yes I know that she is a murderer and has been punished and what not blah blah blah... But in all honesty I don’t like that RS has made this characters main personality being opposite of her love interest who is evil and unfair when in reality she is just as bad as him. She benefits from the favortism has killed and really just gone unpunished and now she’s going to be able to get off scotch free and live this wonderful domestic life with her crazy husband or whatever. I hate the writing and the storyline. 

How old is Minthe?

I have a question. Like a legit question this time. Most of the time when I ask “questions” I usually have the answer to them because they’re hypothetical, but this time I actually want an answer. So in previous posts I’ve talked about how much the age gap between hades and persephone bothers me but I want to know how old Minthe is. I mean she doesn’t seem much older than persephone so is dating younger women a trend for Hades. I mean with the little information we are given about her we do learn that one of the biggest reasons why her relationship with  Hades failed is because she wasn’t ready for that next big step(getting married) this could be because she simply didn’t want to or it could be because she just wasn’t mature enough. Honestly I’m going to go with the second one here. I’ve just always wondered this and now that the story seems like it’s coming to a close I feel like we’re never going to know.

no but those concept drawings too have a (gasp) normal height difference!! tbh it's actually my favorite one because its small enough they can stay in frame, but large enough that she can still wear heels comfortable and he can still kiss her forehead 😭 rachel why did you take everything good away from comic i hate it here

Minthe’s Jealousy

Hey, It’s been a while.Well guess who’s back to throw a bunch of  unpopular opinions on a very popular webtoon... Me! Yup! If you guessed me then you deserve an award for being so smart.

So in the panel below we see a very clear image of Minthe being jealous in regards to persephone and per usual I’m coming to her defense. In this specific panel she’s eyeing persephone like she wants to strangle the pink out of her and honestly I would be right behind my girl cheering her on. Granted Minthe has done some pretty messed up things in the past but since we’ve been given somewhat of a proper backstory for this character I can’t help but empathise with her. First when she med Hades she wasn’t in the best situation. She had a horrible job, was struggling financially, and had some pretty horrible friends. So I’m sure you can imagine the relief she might have gotten when she finally landed a decent job and created a relationship with her very powerful boss. It was an unhealthy relationship but one nonetheless. This girl literally had the king of the underworld ready to propose to her. Now I understand that this is not what she wanted and neither one of them treated eachother very well bt in a way persephone intureded on her life and messed up a couple of things. Some were well deserved but either way it still rubs me the wrong way.

Just Imagine the drama :)

 Ok so I know that not everyone is going to agree with me on this and that’s totally fine because well everyone is entitled to their opinion but in all honestly I freaking love episode 78 of LO. Now I don’t keep up with the series as much as I used to now because the storyline just isn’t my favorite anymore but I swear that 78 was just one of the episodes where I couldn’t help but read. So what am I trying to get at? Well I’m just saying that if LO was a completely different story where any couples could happen I would 100% have Hades and Hera be the main love interests. Their chemistry was great and in my opinion was better than Hades and Persephones. Again everyone has an opinion but for me I just feel like this couple would’ve created a much better storyline. Like just imagine the drama!

So In another one of my posts I mentioned how the height difference between male and female characters could be really demeaning towards the female characters and their levels of respect but I just rediscovered a panel that brings this idea to a whole nother level.

He Is literly talking down to her as of she were a child. in this specific moment of the story she is a child, and like a child she needs someone to guide and make decisions for her. The only problem is that this is her love interest so please tell me why the hell would you make a grown man’s future wife a child. Physically she is an adult at the ripe age of 19 but mentally she hasn’t matured to the stage Hades has and as a result he can talk down to her and maybe even persuade her and cloud her better judgment.

So I was going through some of the older LO pilot episodes when I found a panel that actually surprised me. In this specific panel Hera looks absolutely distrought and being honest I like seeing this version of her. Now do we get to see Hera cry a lot because of her sucky relationship with her just as equally complicated partner? The answer is yes we do, but in this panel it looks so genuine compared to another panel in the offical Webcomic where I think they’re tackaling the same issue. That issue being Hades moving on from Hera and they’re past relationship to his new one with Persephone. I don’t know what RS did but I honestly wish she wouldn’t have changed Hera’s reaction because it really digs deep into the idea that Hera doesn’t feel appreciated by her current  partner and now her older one doesn’t need her anymore.IDK if I’m crazy and have no social life or what but imma guess the first one.

So this is her first reaction to Hades telling her that he’s moved on.

And this is her second. A pretty big difference if you ask me.

LO POSEIDON

I kind’ve feel that when it comes to the three brothers, Poseidon always gets the short end of the stick, Now before I get any deeper into my rant I just want to say that I know he can’t be the center of attention because his character doesn’t fit on RS inconsistent storyline but nonetheless I’m still going to complain about this because that’s what type of mood I’m in. So like I said obviously Poseidon is not a main character so he doesn’t get as much screen time as some other characters but I do feel like whenever we do get to see him he’s often ignored by his other two brothers.But unlike my other posts where I just blame RS and her poor excuses for character design, storyline, plot holes, etc with this specific subject I don’t really think theres anyone to blame. Each one of these kings or whatever has to play a role  and while Zeus plays a complete asshole ruler (unfairly I might add.) And hades a depressed blue perv, Poseidon just has to play a carefree, lifeguard guy who just lives life as it is. Sometimes that’s just how the cookie crumbles:)

They’re acting awkwardly cuz they’re literally teenagers at this time. In fact, I based the entire scene off of THIS SCENE FROM EUPHORIA. This takes place near the start of the Titanomachy and Dexamene has not offered her and her sisters help to the 6 traitors as spies yet, hence the mother thing. She still has a crush on Poseidon but she would sometimes get…”confused” around Zeus. 

HADES’S DUMB QUESTION

Maybe not scoundrel. I would say more perverted old guy with a thing for barely adult girls. Which I leads me to my next question. How old was Minthe. I’ve always wondered and just assumed that this information would be revealed in the comic but now that she’s a plant I don’t think we’ll ever know. Like what was the age difference between these two because unlike Persephone and Hades, Minthe and Hades were physically involved so I want to see just how bad this past arrangement was.

HECATE’S ROLE IN LO. WHAT COULD’VE BEEN

So I was just thinking about the fact that Hecate seemed to be the only sane person in LO once upon a time. I’m not sure if anyone else remembers but I do recall Hecate being against the idea of Hades and Persephone being together. Her reasoning behind that was 100% based on the pretty big age gap between our two main characters. And ngl I kinda wished her mindset would’ve stayed the same rather then her just not caring about the 200 something yr old age gap like everyone else. Like RS I know that you want everyone in your comic to be in love with the ideas of Hades and Persephone together as a couple but unlike your character design pls let us have some diversity in mindset. Because Hecate cannot be the only one who finds their attraction to one another off-putting.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE LO

I have a question/ prompt for everyone. If you could change LO how would you. And i don’t mean if you could change the art style but more the storyline. Like you could create an entire new ship and make them the new focus. Like Persephone and Hermes. They could be the new stars of the show. Or you could even have already established couples be main characters like Hera and Zeus. Really the possibilities are endless. 

LO CHARACTER DESIGN

So I know that then entire LO fanbase knows that RS has the hardest time drawing diverse or even realistic character designs. Honestly whether you are on the anti or fan side of Lore Olympus it’s pretty obvious that everyone in the Webtoon looks the same, but the biggest problem  I have is how every male and female character looks like father and daughter. I’m just saying for someone who really likes to make her readers think her main female character is wise beyond her years RS sure as hell draws her to make her look like a child.

Like homegirl is gonna have neck problems looking at this 40yr old senior.

But it’s not only these two. This idea applies to every couple/pair in LO.

Look at Zeus being a loving father to his 2 children:)

Now I know this is just a really long rant. (acting like the rest of my posts aren’t) But I would kill for a female character that had to look down at a male. Like RS pls. I’m begging for some diversity here.
