Here’s something I thought I would share for all the people into the doll customizing hobby. If you want the body of your Cave Club doll to have smaller calfs and feet, swapping them out with ones from a Boxy Girls doll works like a charm. You just need to thicken up the pegs to give them a more snug fit because they’re much thinner than the ones on the Cave Club legs.
I love how the Cave Club dolls in general are small in scale and still manage to be fully articulated.(I really wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of sales for this doll line is coming from doll customizers.) But there’s certain characters I want to make using the bodies from these dolls that need to have thinner lower legs and feet. So I’m happy to find this solution to that dilemma.

16mm Leekeworld eyes and 6/7 (YoSD) Leekeworld wig. I tried the few 7/8 (MSD) wigs I had, and while they DO fit, depending on the style it just fell/popped off. The YoSD size is tight but doable and I would probably use that size first if I plan on a Rainbow High wearing a wig often.

Me, who bought the doll to steal her limbs for a different edition of the doll, and potentially put the head on another body because I like the sculpt:

(I had Boo York, but hated her arms, so I found Core from Seller to trade limbs and possibly customize the face a bit)
I kinda wish I could send a pic to the seller so they know that she WILL be loved, just... in a different way. ^^;

Tried to give the Galaxy Oracle some minor updates. Her necklace is on a chain now, and I still need to get her lips right. The acrylic markers are much smoother than the usual paint but my brush was dirty so some black got wet again and was transferred on. 😬
(Not that I mind too much, as I’ve been thinking about giving her ombré lips- probably white and blue.)

Hello Tumblr visitor, and welcome to Miniventures!
This is a doll-based sideblog of @kessielrg. I take photos and want to tell stories with all the dolls I have: from fashion dolls like Barbie to larger scale friends like 1/3 scale BJDs. Sometimes this includes the collectible figures or miniatures I have laying around as well. I love my stupid effigies, and I WILL show them off. 😂
I will also reblog any other doll post that captures my attention. Usually from a photographic side, but also tutorials or helpful tips that I feel should be shared.
In the future, I want to create photo comics using my dolls as subjects. Even share the oddball short form video for a repair/restore or other doll-based project I was working on. I want to be able to create. I want to be able to inspire.
And I hope this blog is a good way to showcase it.

The ask box is open. I am accepting anonymous asks at the time. If there is a doll of mine that you like seeing, you can send an ask and I'll take a photo just for you! If you just want to talk, that's fine as well!
The blog runs heavily off of a queue. There are exceptions, such as getting an ask- I'd like to answer them as soon as possible. Otherwise, regular posts are planned to be posted on Tumblr around 12pm EST. There may be gaps in activity because of life events/bad brain days/etc.
All my photos are free to reblog, never to repost. I only upload my pictures to Tumblr (via this blog and my main) and Facebook (which is a private, personal page) anymore, so if you see it anywhere else, it was stolen.
I am not kidcore, age-regressive, a little, etc. I am 21+ and my blog content will reflect that. If adult content makes you uncomfortable, please police your own engagement and block/filter my content without fuss. I try to tag everything as relevant and as often as possible. I brought tiny Luciana with me to visit my grandmother last week, intending to take a photo a day with her. Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick and only got three photos in.
On the plus side I found a Bubblecut Barbie at an antique mall, and a Barbie Extra at Goodwill! Bubblecut is in the wrong box, and also has the registration cards for two different Barbies that I might scan later. For the funsies 😆
