oh my god as someone who was adopted and whose family has always celebrated gotcha day that little blurb warmed my heart 🥺 we never went quite that big but we did make sure to set aside family time! now that i’m usually not home for gotcha day it’s a little different and i miss it

i get to have a semester long project running a blog about hockey boys. in other breaking news, fork found in kitchen!

i'll be so real every time you guys put the "quinn is reading a book every week" quote on my dash all i can imagine is him with like. goosebumps. junie b jones. don't let the pigeon drive the bus. like the general "books" is just really getting to me

so everything sucks and is a nightmare. my fellow survivors: i see you & i love you. i hope you have safety and love and support to whatever degree you need it. i hope you have a sweet fluffy pet to give you comfort. i understand that seeing potential justice can be so triumphant and so bitter. whatever you're feeling, im with you and i love you. please dont be afraid to find your own threshold and safety during all this.

i don't post much, but i've been seeing a lot of responses to the 2018 canada world juniors case development and i don't think i've seen enough saying:

you are allowed to be upset as a fan. you are allowed to feel disgusted, betrayed, angry, disappointed, just plain sad, all of it if you like a team with any of these players.

especially if you have experienced anything similar, it hurts. it hurts a whole fucking lot, to root for these guys and to put so much of yourself into loving their team and to be let down so horribly.

if you're still shocked, still recovering just from learning who it was, nauseous, regretful, down in any way, i understand. i am too. and if anyone needs to talk, needs to just be upset about it with someone else, i'm here.

i sincerely hope the plaintiff gets every bit of justice she deserves. i hope one day we all do.
