A Storm (via The Met)
"A Storm" is a sumptuous pastel that captures the awesome sight of a raging electrical storm over water. O'Keeffe created a jolting contrast between the deep blue pastel of the water and sky, smudged and velvety, and the sharp angular bolt of red lightning outlined in yellow. This dramatic scene, which she most likely witnessed at Lake George, includes the surprising appearance of a full moon reflected in the lake at lower left. Although O'Keeffe's pastels were exhibited often during the 1920s and 1930s, they represent a less familiar aspect of her oeuvre.

Haida Button Blanket, made by famous Canadian indigenous artist Davidson, Florence Edenshaw (1979).
Button blankets have for generations served as insignia of family and clan histories, duties, rights and privileges. Prior to the introduction of manufactured cloth by the Europeans, ceremonial robes were made from the fur and skins of animals, usually sea otter, and may have had painted designs. Northern tribes adapted the traditional robe form to the imported cloth, and imported pearl buttons replaced the painted designs, hence the name button blankets. Designs, similar to those on button blankets, were also applied to shirts, leggings and dance aprons.

大帅哥,我,疯狂想你。不过,我知道,脑海中再多次的非分之想也抵不过窗外长满的苔藓的树来得现实。加油,过好今天!
