Don't know how many hours I've spent today drawing (and redrawing) this but I just spent nearly an additional hour trying to decide if I'm actually gonna use the gw2 tags for once.
Anyways, used Kasmeer as an excuse to play around with pencil brushes and stuff.
(Turns out going 'offmodel' is a good way to make an npc my current art focus.)

just gw2 senior things
when hero points were called skill points
when maps didn’t show you whether you were above or below something
when you had to like buy books or some shit in order to train your skills
when falling to your death broke your armor
when your armor being broken meant it didn’t work at all
when you had to PAY to repair your armor
when dyes were only unlocked per character
when daily tasks were super generalized (along the lines of “kill 10 different monsters today”) and as such much easier to do no matter where you were

the 'medium' for raj's magic is a combination of darkness and compost juice. they're vastly more powerful when there's more (or more recently) decayed stuff to pull out of the surrounding environment.
their minions in combat are usually insubstantial little things that quickly fall apart again after their purpose is fulfilled, but they do keep a few larger ones on call for travel. whether they're mostly meat (resurrected raptor) or mostly magic (shadow jackal) depends on the circumstances. the jackal is their go-to but lately they've been favouring a modular cat-critter for traversing nayos and the horn of maguuma.
they have complete control over their sword as a melee or ranged weapon, and it acts as a conduit for their magic in addition to the stabbing-utility.
they smell strongly of wet leaves all the time.
it was a real struggle to get these doodles done and then i forgot everything i wanted to write, whoops.
