Sophia’s face lit up at the sight of Mikkel, despite his ever present grumpy cat expression she was happy to see the old wolf. “Mickey!” Sophia said excitedly, no idea where the nickname had come from. She’d never called him Mickey before, she swayed on her legs as she approached him with a smile. “Oh come on,” Sophia said with a puppy dog expression. “Have some fun with me, it won’t kill you I promise.”
He laughed, choosing to ignore the nickname as he watched her make her way to him , half expecting her to fall on her ass. “Soph, you and I both know anythin’ with you involved could kill a man.” Still he took the joint from her when she was close enough, taking a decent hit. In one fluid motion he’d hoisted her up over his shoulder, one hand still on her waist to hold her in place while the other held the joint. He wasted no time in putting it out against his jeans and stashing it safely away in his pocket, heading off towards the ball pit.

Sophia’s nerves had been on edge since arriving. while Monster Jam was her second favorite time of year, next to Christmas, it was hard to enjoy this year given the murders that had been taking place. They were certain whoever was involved would strike again during the festival. A little witch must have noticed Sophia’s tension and slipped potion into the water she’d grabbed from a near by stand as she patrolled the grounds.
A few hours later Sophia had found that the potion was in full effect, something close to ecstasy if she’d been of sober mind to identify it. Inhibitions had been thrown to the wind as she found herself outside the ball pit smoking a joint. “You want a hit.” She asked the person next to her as she eyed the ball pit like an excited child.
Mikkel had already made his rounds through the crowds several times over, not really taking part in any of the activities he passed but grinning as he watched others having a good time making fools out of themselves. Almost everyone had managed to loosen up, and there was little doubt in his mind that someone had helped them with that - not that he could blame whoever’d done it. Most of them had earned a bit of relaxation, and this was the perfect time for it.
He’d found Sophia with a joint to her lips, and the sight had him fighting back his laughter - not that he hid it well, with a large grin and a light in his eyes. “Nah, ‘ll pass. Someone’s gotta stay sober ‘round here.”

Mikkel actually doesn’t get any mail in town, bills or otherwise. He does, however, take a monthly trip to a small town in Nevada, where he has a P.O. box. There he receives letters from his family (nieces and nephews mostly), updates from his ‘pack’, and any information he doesn’t trust to be sent through the internet or spoken over the phone.
