Well that’s the first positive thing I’ve heard from EA/Maxis in a very, VERY long time.

I’ve met at least 8 of the 10 gay guys who are mentioned here. Especially the needlessly bitchy ones. Please don’t be any of them if you haven’t become them yet. I hardly believe you dislike petty drama if you have to constantly insist that you don’t like it, at least own the fact that you do.

It’s Not That Difficult to be Nice
First and foremost I write this with full recognition that I am bound to offend someone and I own the fact that I am not absolved of any guilt myself. That being said I want to ask a question to my fellow gay peers.
I recently spoke to a friend who works with a gay man and even she quoted him saying “I can’t help but be a bitch” to which they laughed and as much of a joke it probably was, I know that on some level there’s truth to that. All my life ever since I came out of the closet and had my first gay club experience, I’ve always had a hard time understanding why gay men insist on taking pride in being bitchy/stuck up/etc. And I’m at that point of being convinced that if someone is taking offense to this question, it’s either because they know I’m right and/or they’re in denial. The point is whatever we call ourselves, sweethearts more times than not does not seem to fit. Why is that? Why is it cool to be mean and disrespectful to one another? Why is it a thing talk trash behind each other’s backs and degrade one another?
Majority of us pride ourselves connect well to one another on the fact that we’ve seen Mean Girls and I know we know what it’s about. Do we love it for the message of the story or do we love it because there’s a lot of cattiness and the movie is called ‘Mean’ Girls? It feels like the latter and I keep questioning why? Again it’s not that hard to look at things from different perspectives and be nice and show compassion.

Sad to know she was a victim of masculinity at it’s worse. My condolences to her family and friends.  This is why I need feminism in my life.
