House is like lol yah i'm bi or whatever but wilson is soooo ugly i wld never fuck that man. Wilson is like lol yeah i would marry house and live out the rest of my life with him because i love him but i'm straight. They are both saying this while they are sitting on top of each other eating chinese takeout in house's office and wilson is skipping out on his anniversary dinner with his current wife and thirteen is like ://// you are the reason biphobia exists
You are exactly correct. Wilson recognizes that this love he has for House is something he can't properly compare to anything else he's ever experienced. THEREFORE it cannot be attraction or romantic love bc he totally knows what that's supposed to be like and it's with Women. This is just. Something different. It is deep and unfathomable and unconditional. But different.
Meanwhile the worst thing House can imagine is being rejected by Wilson. And he doesn't think Wilson could like him romantically. Therefore he doesn't like Wilson. It's an 'appeal to consequences' fallacy. I don't like the outcome which I think most probable, therefore this cannot be true. He knows that he is capable of liking Wilson romantically, but he can't for other reasons. So what he feels is also just. Something different.
And Thirteen is so tired and finds both of their denials to be EXTREMELY hypocritical. Wilson considers himself as emotionally intelligent, which he obviously isn't. And House claims to value truth above all, but avoids self-reflection and awareness at all costs lol.
You talk about when Mike got caught looking at Will in the desert. I talk about when he didn't.
This is before Will started talking, he was just gesturing in reaction while Jonathan and Argyle were talking one on one. But I'm rewatching the scene thinking about Mike and there is a lot of time between the inciting moment of Argyle saying they're gonna kill El and the triple take at the end of this scene. He had a full soliloquy alone, that triple take was not an immediate reaction and I think we forget that. He had been sitting with himself in silence, tuning them out for 0:56 seconds before that triple take. He isn't listening to them. He's thinking. And while he's thinking, he looks over at Will 0:12 seconds before we see him do it up close.
As I say, he's surprised he got caught because he usually doesn't. He wasn't expecting Will to be looking at him because he wasn't when he tried 10 seconds prior.
Imagine Stranger Things S1 where Will got taken into the UD, but instead of the alternate Hawkins looking dark, full of vines and spores, it actually…looked kind of normal? Nothing weird that you would notice. At first.
After being cornered, taken by the entity and then left alone, Will eventually returns home and goes to bed. He doesn’t immediately realize he’s not really home, but the signs are getting more and more obvious and alarming. Alternative Hawkins is half-less populated, and not always by the right people. People Will swears had passed away years before are alive and going about their business, the mean teacher that had been living on North Avenue before moving away in third grade has been seen walking her dog on the sidewalk. His family and friends are notably missing. Nobody seems to find any of it odd. In fact, nobody seems to react normally, if at all, to anything Will says.
This weirdness hasn’t been limited to people. Ever since he arrived, Will hasn’t seen a single car moving on the road. Orchids litter lawns and green spaces like they’re weeds, and a couple of odd places he stumbled upon literally break physic laws Will knows exist.
However, the elements mentionned above are the least of his worries, because one single thing trumps them all: Lonnie is home, and he’s acting friendly.
