The tunnel of trees road to Legs Inn. I'm sure it's beautiful in the fall and much more crowded. Only about 1 1/2 lanes wide and a little less in some places.
The largest ship able to get through the lock on the St Lawrence Seaway, 1,004 feet long and 70 feet wide. We got lucky and saw one on our ferry ride back to Michigan from Isle Royale National Park
The reunion went better than expected, most of the time. Everyone agreed that we had picked the best site yet. We could walk to several nice restaurants. There was a bakery not far away, our brother Bill could walk to the grocery store to get his New York Times, Wall Street Journal and the Detroit Free Press. The layout of the house was really good except one couple had to walk out of the bedroom to get to a bath. That was not how it had been described. The problem was that there are five bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, but the owner closed off a small apartment in the upstairs that would have had a bedroom and bathroom together because we only had four couples. We had a wonderful backyard right on the Boyne River with kayaks at our disposal, which we didn't use, a nice fire pit, and a great sitting area to watch the sun rise and set and to feed all the ducks. We did a couple of small day trips around the city which were of no particular importance. We did take a full day and go to Mackinac Island. We ferried over early in the morning, 9:30, got a horse-drawn carriage tour that lasted over an hour, toured the historic fort, saw a Butterfly House and had lunch before we headed back to the house. It was a long day but a pleasant day. The next door neighbor Gow ( old Scottish name according to him) Lichtenberger let us hook the RV up to his exterior outlet because using the extension cord on the house we were in would have interfered with walking up and down the steps to the backyard area. He was such a nice man and he and I had several talks. One gentleman knocked on the front door and asked to see the RV. Our relatives were a little shocked at that, but that's normal for us. The lady who rented the house was very helpful via emailing and texting about lack of cable service, which I got fixed, so we had a really good relationship. We moved over to another town on the 24th , nearby on a lake just to relax before we started the trip home. We don't know when we'll get home because we have it checked the route home to see if there's anything along the way to stop and see. I suspect we'll be home before the week is over, but we don't want to commit to anything until we see what's in front of us. This won't be the last blog entry because I have several videos to upload if we have good Wi-Fi or I'll do it when I get home.

It started raining about 6:00 PM last night before we could use the grill so we ate inside. It rained all night and we go some thunder and lightning from about 6-7:30. It has finally stopped raining at 0845, so after this, we’ll weigh anchor and head directly back to Tulsa.
Some pics follow this entry.
