type-moon actually did have a magical girl anime concept prior to Prisma Illya, called Fushigi Energy Corona RIVIVE, but it was just for an April Fools joke website in 2007. it seems to have had a few concepts that have made their way into the wider Nasuverse while also having its own versions of some established characters. the website doesn't officially exist anymore, but it is archived

Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1
The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.
So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.
So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.
Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.
And the probe is working again.
From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

marine biology is so scary because it’s such a small field. i was giving a talk on cetaceans and afterward a woman approached me with her husband and she said, “you did very well. [husband’s name] actually pioneered the research and published the first paper on that. We were very impressed by you.”
Which is such a scientific interpretation/public education win I will cherish forever but also for the rest of my life any time I give a talk I will be haunted by the knowledge that the world’s leading expert who literally discovered/invented the topic might be in the room,
which is like, the opposite of what you’re supposed to do for stage fright. In fact I never used to experience stage fright but now I will.

Oh, since I linked all the Mahoutsukai no Hako audio dramas earlier, I think I should mention the real least-known, most-neglected part of the Nasuverse.
Fushigi Energy Corona RIVIVE was a purely hypothetical sequel to a magical girl anime that never actually existed, but a page was made for it on Type-Moon's website on 1 April, 2007 with world details and character profiles. The characters included versions of established Nasuverse characters: "Queen Amber", a version of Magical Amber (the magical girl version of Kohaku from Carnival Phantasm and Fate/tiger colosseum UPPER), Ruby, and a "Blue Ruby" who appears to be the prototype for Prisma Illya's Sapphire.
The website is archived, if anyone wants to translate an April Fools joke website from 2007 about an anime that isn't even real. I'd appreciate it if someone did because so far, it's been so neglected by the fandom outside Japan that even the English Type-Moon wiki page for it is almost entirely in Japanese.
