修復下裝與上衣紋理重疊的方法
Tutorial: fixing pants/shirts texture overlapping
friend requested this but i figured someone else might find it useful :)
so you know how sometimes you put pants and shirts together and they do this godawful thing?
that's a shirt problem. it happens when the creator uses a tucked in top as a package base but makes an untucked top mesh and doesn't change this setting. when a skirt/pants and top textures overlap on a texture map, the game considers the shirt tucked in and puts the texture of the pants over it.
luckily, it's a super easy fix!
you'll need a Sims 4 Studio and a mean to locate your shirt file. open the file with Studio by clicking on "my projects".
after you open the file, switch to the warehouse tab and sort by type for your convenience, because you only need "CAS part" here. click on a CAS part and scroll the right part almost all the way down until you see sort layer.
sort layer is, to put it simply, a priority of a texture. bigger number, bigger priority, texture goes above textures with lower numbers.
sort layer for tucked in tops is 13000. sort layer for untucked tops must be 16000. change it to 16000. do the same with each CAS part. it might be tedious if your top has a lot of swatches.
after you finish, click save.
now checking the result in the game... success!

UPD: You can also do the opposite, if you have a top in a form of a bodysuit and it goes over your pants, just change 16000 for 13000 to tuck it in.

(Retro & Vintage) Flip-Phone - Functional/Override & Decorative (Updated with more colors!)
As per request, an override/default replacement phone! + A bonus decorative/clutter version.
Inspired by one of my own personal flip phones from back in the day. And yes, I do realise that from certain angles, it looks more like one of them old-school sliding mobile phones rather than a flip-phone. Perhaps I just found an excuse to create more of these old school cell phones 🤔 Thoughts?
Information:
There are 2 items, one of which is a clutter item (non-functional, just decorative) and the other one is a default replacement/override for the EA smartphone. It replaces the in-game smartphone visually. Both items can be placed in-game at the same time.
Decorative/Clutter Flip-Phone (non-functional):

Default Replacement/Override Flip-Phone (funtional):

♦ 19 options to choose from (same as the swatches for the clutter item)
This item is an override which means it will conflict with any other phone replacement/override, this also means you can only pick 1 override .package file.

⚠️ ADVISORY: Malicious Mods, Identity Theft, Malware, and You ⚠️
Hey, all! Not sure how many people will see this, but if you do, please reblog. This is a 'little' post regarding a potentially big problem affecting the Sims 4 community. If you download mods/CC at all (and yes I know CC is a type of mod), this applies to you.
TL;DR: For the sake of your personal info, identity, bank account, et cetera, please STOP downloading any mods/CC for the time being. Especially from the following sites: CurseForge, ModTheSims, The Sims Resource. It doesn't matter if you know the creator or not. Give it at least a week while we all figure out what's going on. If you must, I would recommend only downloading directly from a creator's Patreon (assuming they have one).
Other people have written at length about the mods in question, so I'll just share their posts below.
What's going on?
From the Sims 4 After Dark Discord server (a server you should join if you're not in it already):
⚠️If you downloaded any mod listed in the above post and played the game with them installed, this is the cleaner program Kuttoe (creator of the Home Regions and Townie Demographics mods) mentioned in their post: GitHub - overwolf/sims4-social-events-cleaner: Source files and exe release for a tool to clean up your machine if you have downloaded the "Social Events - Unlimited Time" Sims 4 mod ⚠️
Got confirmation from Kuttoe that as long as you didn't boot up the game with the malicious mods installed (or deleted them completely from your computer before playing the game), you *should* be fine. Still, I recommend that anyone who thinks they might have downloaded any of them run the cleaner program.
Here's an explanation from @anadius2 (reposted by Kuttoe) in the Sims 4 After Dark server (not providing a link to prevent brigading or spam, but you can DM me and I'll give you the link) about what the malware will do to your computer:

So, to recap:
Fake mods were uploaded to Curseforge, ModTheSims, and The Sims Resource
@msqsimsofficial had their account compromised on 2 of those sites (they are a victim of hacking, so do not send them hate!)
If downloaded, these malicious mods have the ability to steal very sensitive info (your passwords, credit card info if saved somewhere in your browser, data)
As of right now, antivirus software may not be able to detect the malware
Mac and Linux users seem to be safe; Windows users are the ones that could be affected
Why is this happening?
Unsure. Lots of theories are being made by people far more knowledgeable than me, but from the looks of things, could be crypto bullshit and/or an attempt to steal your data and sell it. This is very, very serious, and could wreck your life if said data/personal info falls into the wrong hands.

It's always a good idea to change passwords every couple of months or so, but if you think you've been affected, you also need to change your passwords for things like online banking, email and social media accounts, healthcare sites AFTER running the cleaner.
What now?
I want to talk about how we approach modding our games and downloading files in general.
Please STOP downloading mod file folders from people who did not create the specific mods. Period. This includes Sim dumps, building/lots with CC, mod folders promoted on YouTube, etc. This does not mean that anyone sharing them is doing so maliciously. In fact, I appreciate the amount of effort people put into compiling these resources! But unless you're super careful (and super knowledgeable), you run the risk of downloading malware like this on your computer. Make no mistake, the malicious files in question look like run-of-the-mill, everyday mods. Two of them were even posted from a trustworthy creator's actual account! The only way to know what they actually do is to peek into the code, and idk about you, but I don't know Python. So even after this issue is resolved, you really should only download files from the creators themselves.
But what about CC shopping?
Here's how I like to approach it: I stick to lookbooks and combing through the Patreons/accounts of creators who make items I like. If I see a Sim dump with CC that I'm interested, I try to reach out to the poster and ask where they got specific CC. If I can't do that, I see if it was shared via Drive, look at the individual files themselves, then head to the original CC creator's official download page and get it from the source.

讓模擬市民在擺姿勢時看向特定方向的小祕訣😲
Did you know you can make sims look in a specific direction whilst they're posed?
Hit shift+tab to enter first person mode
Aim the camera where you want your sim to look (make sure your game isn't paused otherwise the sim won't move - you can press 1 in first person mode to set time running)
Hit pause (by pressing P)
Hit shift+tab again to exit first person mode
Voila! Your sim is now looking in the direction you pointed 'em!
A neat little cheat to get multiple uses from the same pose! 🤸♀️

The Sims 4 Mod: Fixed Interior Decorator Career
As of this post, the Interior Decorator career from Dream Home Decorator has a significant bug that makes it unplayable, where upon completing a gig, there will be a LastException, no popup, and worst of all, your Sim won't gain any performance/reputation or get promoted.
This mod fixes the issue, allowing you to play the career once again!
Additionally, this fixes a minor issue with both the Interior Decorator and Actor careers where they would show as rabbithole careers in the Find a Job dialog.

a tiny cc item that adds piercing holes. not earrings or ear preset, just an overlay for holes on the skin that can be seen when you remove your earrings.
i dedicate this to wolfgang's ears that looked too bald and un-pierced in sleep outfit.
added swatches with a lot of holes, so your sim can still look badass even when they remove their piercings before going to bed... but you can see how many there are!

5 possible slots to choose from: acne, occult brow, occult mouth, upper back tattoo, and facepaint. they don't depend on each other so you can delete anything you don't need.

【關於烤起司願望的BUG】
人物在進行烤起司的時候可能會出現T型姿勢，完成的烤起司則會直接進入家庭庫存而不是人物清單。
baniduhaine修復了這個遊戲BUG，可以讓人物動畫和視覺特效正常撥放，並讓完成的烤起司出現在人物清單裡。
Grilled Cheese Summons Bandaid
The issue: trying to summon Grilled Cheese from the hidden aspiration would lead to the interaction just cancelling. Sometimes the grilled cheese might actually be spawned and make its way to household inventory. But overall, the interaction itself would not play out, not even the animation, with at least one instance of the Sim randomly t-posing as if reset.
Why? I have no idea. The best I can guess is there seems to be an issue between the actual object creation and positioning at carry. Some tweaks could get the animation to play but nothing would happen, and regardless of where I put it, even when the grilled cheese did spawn, it would never actually show up being carried by the Sim as it used to. It would specifically just refuse to spawn carried on the Sim's hand, as it was perfectly capable of showing up on household inventory or the Sim's inventory.
The bandaid: the animation and vfx will play, but the grilled cheese will be delivered to the Sim's inventory. It's not a perfect return to how the interaction used to work, but so far it's the closest I can get it to go without the interaction breaking again, unfortunately.
