Bellamy who as an adult in a leadership position let teenage Murphy be tortured and almost die (TWICE). The deal with S5 Memori is that John Murphy is a trauma survivor. His entire life, ever since his father died (age 10-ish), has been spent fighting for survival. first against his mother, then the other kids in lock up (he was 13-ish, imagine being 13 and in prison with a bunch of bigger, tougher criminals), then against everything the Earth threw at him. He spent every day of his life for 7 years fighting for survival. That changes you, it fucks you up a lot.
And he was alone until he met Emori. He hadn’t had a single person really care about him since his father died. Then he met Emori and things got better for him. He needed her and she needed him just as much, and if some needs you, really needs you, they usually don’t leave. But that didn’t last.
Once he’d just gotten used to the constant fight on Earth, once he’d found Emori and had someone that cared for him, he’s taken up to the Ring and everything changes. There’s no wars, no fighting to survive, life is peaceful and he doesn’t know how to handle it, so he starts to crack a little bit. But, he has Emori, so it’s okay.
Except Emori is making other friends, she’s learning to rely on other people, she doesn’t need Murphy as much now and he doesn’t know how to handle that, because if she doesn’t need him, she’s going to leave him, because he doesn’t think he’s worth sticking around. Now, see, Emori knows how to trust other people. She had Odan most of her life, she wasn’t completely alone like Murphy. She obviously trusts people more easily because she trusted Alie about the chip whereas Murphy didn’t because he doesn’t know how to trust people, especially not people who don’t need him. That coupled with his self worth issues means he wasn’t going to be that great at making friends on the Ring.
But still, he did it. (According to Tasya) Murphy was Echo’s friend, she helped him through a lot and was ‘like his therapist.’ We obviously see Bellamy cares for him. He was the first to try Monty’s algae and then Monty carries him to safety, proving their relationship was good. And he and Raven seem to have made up. He made friends, had a family. Life was almost good. But it would be so much better when they could return to Earth.
Except that doesn’t happen. They can’t get back to Earth because they have no fuel. They’re fucked and Murphy can’t stand it. He’d been looking forward to getting back to the freedom of Earth since they got up to space. He isn’t built for confined spaces, for floating metal boxes that come with rules and safety and not enough air. So he starts to come undone and he begins to push people away. This includes Emori.
However, unlike Bellamy who we see still makes an effort to care about Murphy, doesn’t believe he’s beyond help, and is willing to offer that help (’Say you’re not worthless.’), Emori lets him push her away.
Pushing people away is something trauma survivors do constantly. People who get too close can hurt you, and people who don’t need as much as you need them will leave you and that hurts. So we push people away so we don’t get hurt. Murphy reverted back to that, to being scared and feeling trapped and going crazy because he didn’t know how to survive if he wasn’t free, if he didn’t have to fight. (We know this because he fights Bellamy for seemingly no reason.)
Bellamy didn’t let Murphy push him away, he kept trying, kept helping. Presumably so did the others, because their relationships weren’t as fucked as Memori was at the beginning of S5. They divided up the task of taking care of Murphy, but it’s safe to say Emori never volunteered.
Now, I know she was hurt that he pushed her away, but I’d imagine she learned a lot about him in those 5 years before he broke down, enough to know how much he’d gone through. She knew he was a trauma survivor, that he was broken, that he had PTSD (though she may not have known that was the term, but with as often as Grounders go to war, they must have known about it). She knew and she still abandoned Murphy.
Now, it’s not entirely her fault, it’s very hard to hold on to someone who’s actively pushing you away, so she can’t be blamed for leaving him. But she can be blamed for insulting him, belittling him, much like his mother probably did all his life. That shit hurts coming from someone you love. And she would have known about his mother. And she did it anyway.
Emori is not blameless, she’s not an ‘uwu badass princess who did no wrong’ and Murphy isn’t a ‘gross broken bastard who hurt said badass princess.’
TLDR: If Bellamy, Monty, Echo, and Raven can still be civil with Murphy after his breakdown, then so could Emori. But she wasn’t. She chose to continue hurting him because she couldn’t handle her boyfriend being a trauma survivor. She wasn’t ready to handle all of him, the ups and the downs. She’s only in it when he’s fighting, when he’s not falling apart, and that is not real love.

I'm on mobile, so excuse the screenshot instead of copy and pasting, but I'm far from a Bellarke Stan. I said that I get you guys are her Stans because you are? I was saying I understand being upset when your fave is upset? In no place did I say there was anything wrong with stanning her.
It doesn't bother me that someone is 'on Arryn's side', although the fact that there is sides instead of everyone just being mature adults and letting people live their lives does bother me. I just don't like seeing such serious accusations thrown around, assuming things and possibly invalidating real experiences.
Like I said, I'm not a Bellarker. I'm obviously a fan/Stan of The 100, but not Bellarke. And I have spoken about how disgusting Blorkers are being and how it's absolutely vile, so, yeah, I have started with my side of the fucking debate. Believe it or not, there can be faults on both sides.

So she got cheated on and potentially abused, the couple who betrayed her just went public, and now his fans who have been dicks to her since she started dating the guy and hoping this exact thing would happen are hurling abuse at her and celebrating his stank cheater ass. I genuinely hope she’s okay but I wouldn’t be surprised if she lays low for a couple days

I get that you guys are Arryn Stans and are upset about her going through a tough time, but you can feel bad for her and be pissed at the disgusting Blorkers who are saying shit without saying and/or implying Bob is a cheater/abuser when you don't know the specifics. Bellamy is tied to a chair in JC’s room and she is sitting on the bed facing him.
“What did you do to Clarke?” He asks.
“You watched the video in the lab, you know what happened.”
Tears fill his eyes and he shakes his head, “No,” he whispers in denial.
“She’s dead,” JC says.
“Shut up.”
“Did you know,” she stands up. “That she loved you?”
He stares at her.
“Her memories are still here,” she points at her head. “She called you for 6 years and had hope of seeing you again and confessing her love for you, but then she saw you were with someone else and it broke her.”
Tears started streaming down his face, “Shut up.”
“I see the way you look at me. The way you used to look at her even before the end of the world.” She kneels in front of him and stares at his face. “Question is, why didn’t you tell her you loved her when you had the chance?”
He glares at her through the blurry sight of his tears and says with deathly calm, “I am going to kill you and everyone you love.”

Yes! And that’s such an important thing for both of them.
Bellamy did things that hurt Murphy before, and Murphy’s reacted two ways in the past:
1) Ignoring it. Before the hanging, when Bellamy was rude to him, he’d just ignore it. Any snide remarks or digs after that, he’d still just ignore it.
2) Lashing out. Bellamy contributed to his hanging, so Murphy tried to hang him. But after that, he didn’t mention it.
Murphy holds grudges, but he thinks he deserves most of it. You can see in Season Four how much self hatred he has, you can see in his interactions with Emori how low he thinks of himself.
But with the psychosis, he did two things. The first was immediately forgive Bellamy, which is a first for him. And the second was bring it up after the fact, in this scene. He brings it up because it doesn’t hurt him.
He processed it, he accepted Bellamy’s apology, it doesn’t hurt him just thinking about it anymore. He’s close to Bellamy, he knows how far he can push him until it goes from reminding him of the past to guilt tripping him and making him feel like shit. Which is how he knew he could bring it up. Because, yes, Bellamy does feel bad, but not bad enough that he’ll get upset and sad.
And how he circles him says a lot, too. This might be my inner film nerd coming out, but the fact that Bellamy is leaning over and making Murphy taller than him, Murphy copying Bellamy’s hand movements, circling him as he talks, and then immediately sits down and gives Bellamy the upper hand and more power says a lot.
Or maybe Bob was just having a bad day with his knee and needed to lean on something, either one.
A good day to remember that John ‘you’re not the only one trying to save someone you care about’ Murphy knows. He’s known since S1 how much Bellamy cares about Clarke, and in choice moments like this, he brings it up. He’s saying let’s not go check out anything because do you really want to be in a position where you almost kill Clarke again?
Bellamy’s lip bite says so much. Murphy has a point - what he did to Clarke during the eclipse still bothers him deeply.
See, Bellamy apologised to Murphy about what happened at the eclipse in a heartbeat. But till now something is stopping him from apologising to Clarke or at least addressing the issue. I think he’s still not at a point where he can fully confront what he knows it means. I personally can’t wait for the day where he can be honest about his feelings for Clarke, because at this point he’s trying way too hard to keep those feelings in.

But you put it in the Murphy tag and directly erased his important to the scene and the psychosis scene. Murphy isn’t a prop to your Racist Crack Ship, he’s a character with his own connection and relationship to Bellamy.
Murphamy fans don’t ‘own’ any tag, but Murphy fans should be able to go through it and not see Murphy treated as a prop or his importance erased.
And you are stating it as canon? You’re twisting it around to seem like a Bellarke scene and saying ‘This is what Bellamy was thinking’ ‘This is what Murphy was thinking’. It wasn’t meta, Meta would be saying ‘I think Murphy said this because he was trying to accomplish this and Bellamy reacted this way because he feels this’. It’s speculation, not stating what you think for a fact.
And we’re not reading it as a Murphamy moment, we’re seeing a Murphamy moment as it is. You’re free to twist it however you want, but don’t expect to post it in the Murphy tag and not have people be upset.

Like, I get that Bellarkers are getting crumbs this season and Murphamy and Becho shippers are getting full course meals, but you don’t have to take a scene, actually, two scenes that are actively Murphamy scenes and make them Bellarke scenes.
Every single thing about this scene is about Murphamy, from Murphy moving his hand in a similar way to how Bellamy did, to the word choice, to Bellamy leaning over and Murphy being taller than him in the beginning and then sitting down and giving Bellamy the upper hand and more ‘power’.
I still don’t know what really called the psychosis, and I’m not sure JRoth does either, but the fact that Murphy said “People you love’ means that Bellamy and Murphy love each other. I’m not saying romantically, although my Murphamy shipper heart wishes it was, but there’s more than one type of love.
Trying to make a Murphamy scene seem like it’s a scene about an Abusive Crack Ship just doesn’t make sense and is offensive to Murphamy Shippers and Bellamy Fans/Stans.
