These are the roughest phase of my sketches any of you will ever see but I’ve got nothing cleaned up this week.

I’ve been working on specific larger projects rather than cleaning up small doodles to post, so I figure I’ll share some really rough ideas that I’ve got that I’m hoping to eventually clean up one day

I don’t see a lot of people give Casey any ninja clothes with his new time period, and I think he’d look pretty slick matching the turtles

Just a few different ideas for how that would go and what kind of getup looks best

Oh I’m a massive fan, I’ve been around since the first episode ! One of the first posts on this blog was fanart for cass’ au 😄

What hits you the most about Rise of TMNT The Movie?

Casey Jr, actually ! Secondly would be how dark and serious it is, I loved how actually terrifying the Kraang were, they’re the scariest version of the kraang to date, and it’s wonderful! But Casey and his story are definitely the top of the list for me like it is for a lot of people, because once you stop for a second and actually think about everything from his point of view, that kid has got to be miserable and it’s heartbreaking, but he also is so tough and so sweet despite growing up in a literal apocalyptic war

That kid grew up loved as HELL and you can tell he was, he was surrounded by the hamato family, I don’t want to make this an infodump about Casey but yeah I’ve got some things to say about him for sure, I’m definitely a huge Casey Jones Jr fan 👍

Anybody like WIP piles ? Figure I’ll show some scraps of the current work in progress pieces I’ve got on my hands, I really do have a LOT of old ideas I had never worked on farther than scribbles, I’ve barely scratched the surface on it all

Those always look like fun and I've never done one, and I'm already halfway there, that feels like the first real celebration mark to hit?

Think that would be worth trying?

I think the reason why so many people have flocked to your art is because of how clean your lines look and overall, how satisfying your art looks to the eyes! I personally love art that keeps some of its sketchiness (idk if thats an actual word or not LOL) in the final product as it gives it a more lively look. But somehow your art seems to keep that sort of lively look with clean lines. Perhaps its the facial expression or the anatomy but to me it just seems perfect,, Or it’s justs the fact that you’ve done created one of the biggest things the fandom loves at the moment; Casey and his turtle dad/uncles.

Either way, your art is absolutely lovely too look at and I keep coming back to it and staring at it. I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this LOL. No wonder your little blog has grown in popularity <3

I appreciate that it still looks a little sketchy bc I agree, I like sketchiness in my art too! I can do clean lines too but it feels like it loses some of the fun in the process somehow

Here's the thing, I wasn't expecting a lot of people to follow this account. I was expecting to just be hiding under my little rock able to put a few doodles into the void and only a handful of ppl would even know I existed

I wasn't actually expecting to have a lot of notes and a bunch of asks coming in from people, but all of a sudden it all blew up and I've gained over 300 followers in 2 days 😅😅

So uh, oops??? Gonna have to tag my stuff and maybe change my pin to have a link to the art now

I love your art style so much and all the extra details you add to the characters are so cute! Like Raph and Cassandra’s scars and how Mickey has a more pronounced beak! I really like how you drew Mickey with a bit bonier body shape and the drawing you made of him with Casey when he is much older is just so bitter sweet! And I love all the adorable bandaids you put on Leo and Raph their so cute! Raph’s expressions when interacting with baby Casey are so precious and I love the designs you have to Raph and Cassandra. Cassandra’s out fit really give me roller derby vibes which I feel like she would get banned from participating in because she’d be too violent. Also having most of the drawings be in black and white with just some splash of colors here and their really makes everything stand out so much more, it looks awesome! Also I love, love, love April’s outfit and how you designed her top to look similar to the boys plastron and how allot of pieces of her outfit seem to be inspired by the boys like her knee pads and goggles and of course her very own mask. Iv never seen anyone do that before and I love it! Mickeys interactions with baby Casey are so sweet and precious, he finally gets to know what it’s like to have a younger sibling/nephew! Mickey using his mystic powers to entertain Casey is such a cute concept. Oh, I just noticed you did the same thing for Cassandra, giving her top a similar design to Aprils but in black so it fits her aesthetic more that’s so cool! Also the extra cracks along Raphs shell and broken off spikes are so cool, along with the scars on his tail! Also I love being able to see the line-art in your finished drawings, it’s just a really cool detail that I love to see in peoples art.

Yeah Cassandra and April get plastron armor, Casey does too but his is a different design since he's just a kid. I like to headcanon the plastron armor was army wide! It's Donnie's personal design, so the battle armor is definitely sturdy

Okay first of all I love your art but I need you to know that when I shared that comic of Casey and Uncle Tello coming back to the lair with a friend it reminded them to tell me that their grandpa named Don died and I have never felt more conflicting emotions in my LIFE

Ok so for now we have that...

Raph die first...when casey was around 3 or 4...

Donnie when he was probably was 8 more or less...

And then we have the ones that could live longer...following the canon history with 16...

You're very very close actually! And a very keen eye for noticing all of that!! Those Casey and Donnie doodles are old from when I was on a baby Casey kick, all I've done was cleaned them up, so I don't have Casey as old as I personally headcanon him to be when Donnie dies

For me personally, I headcanon that :

Raph died when Casey was about 5, give or take, he has very vague recollections of Raphael. Being around young Raph actually brings back a few of those memories he didn't think he still had

Donnie died when Casey was around 12, it was the first "Real" family loss he can remember, since his memories of Raph are so vague and it changed his entire world, because after Donnie was gone, nobody was ever the same.

Cassandra/Cassie died when he was about 15 when everyone was out on a mission, he doesn't like thinking about it.

And April Leo and Mikey all went one after the other at 17 so quickly that he couldn't even keep up with what was happening around them

Everyone has their own headcanons and these are mine 😁
