"People have been talking about me?" Well, that's not going to help his paranoia. Why on earth were so many people talking about him? Hmmp, he says this like he was just another persona and not a god from another world.
Well, now that he was here, might as well try to gather information. And the best way to do that was to act really dumb!
"Uh, actually I don't know why I'm here and not even sure where here is. I just sat down and then I was here. Uh, anyway, who are you?"

"I'd heard we'd gotten another visitor, so you must be the one they've been chattering about. It's been getting awfully busy here these days, but I suppose that's not exactly your fault." While she was slightly irritated from all the noise, she couldn't take it out on a guest. She was better than that.
"What brings you here? A request? Or are you here to sit and chat with someone?"

You know, maybe Cordie wouldn't be a great director behind the camera considering how vague his instructions were. If it wasn't for Koko's intuition on how to pose, who knows how long it would take for Cordie to be happy with the shot.
Of course, Koko wasn't going to say that to Cordie's face since he had no idea about modeling sessions either. Let's just hope Koko's contempt didn't seep into his expressions.
"Well, it certainly came out better than expected." While a director position probably wasn't in reach for Cordie for the time being his photography skills were top-notch. It really did seem like he was coming out of the photograph. He wasn't going to say all of that though, he rather not have Cordie get a big ego.
"So, I have to ask. What are you going to use that photo for? Going to put it in your portfolio or something like that?"
Incidentally, Cordie did practice cheerleading before joining Team Magma, so while that’s not related to the current topic he would join the Team Skull heckling if he was there to witness it.
(Not that he lasted very long on the cheerleading squad, though, because while he’s good at the things that involve athleticism he’s way too gloomy to perform the actual cheering aspect convincingly.)
“You’re doing great! Now hold that pose just a little longer.” He said, being decidedly not gloomy because he’s happy that Koko followed his instructions correctly. Especially the smile! A cocky, aggressive grin really helped sell the experienced fighter angle, if he just gave a typical camera-ready smile it’d look really silly. With that he took a few more pictures and then gave each of them a good look on his phone, seeming satisfied with the results.
“Alright, that’s enough for now. Here, come take a look!” When Koko looked at the phone screen he could see some truly awe-inspiring pictures of himself, captured in such a way that gave an illusion of movement and really made it seem like he was about to punch the viewer. “Pretty cool, right?”

... You know this reminded him of that one time a Team Skull goon made fun of cheerleaders. And let's just say that the cheerleaders showed that goon why it was considered a sport. While Koko wasn't mocking modeling as hard, he probably did underestimate how much work was put into it.
Well, either that or Cordie was being a bit overly passionate about this, but a man needs his passions, right?
Anyway, best do what his director says before he actually starts yelling at him. Tighten your core and puff out your chest huh? That wouldn't be too hard but hmmm... Oh, maybe if he posed like he was actually going to punch the camera. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Now smile? Wouldn't that clash with the pose? Oh, maybe he should do one of those cocky smiles like he did when he was about to punch someone.
"Something like this?"
Hopefully, Koko doesn't actually punch the camera.
Using the knowledge he had as a model, Cordie was quick to find a good angle for Koko’s pictures, tilting his phone camera up a little to give the illusion that the other man was being seen from below in order to make him appear taller and more imposing. He had the other man stand on a specific area of the beach so that the ocean could be used as the backdrop and the sun’s natural light would illuminate his face and enhance his features, everything calculated with precision to get good results.
Maybe because this is something he’s confident about, he feels pretty good about giving instructions and taking charge.
“It’s a good starting point, but it needs something more.”
“It’s a fighting pose, so it's weird if you look too relaxed! You gotta tighten your core and puff your chest out. Oh, and don’t forget to flex your arms too, like this!” He starts holding his phone with one hand so he can flex with his unoccupied arm to give the other man a visual reference of the kind of pose he’s looking for.
Was Cordie always this pushy?
“Now we’re good to go. Smile for the camera!”

Helix? Actually, Koko probably didn't want to know. Also, he was hoping that Cupcakes couldn't read his mind. There were so many other legendaries that could do that and while he usually didn't mind because they usually got punished by some of the extremely strange thoughts, he rather not get into the Helix tangent.
"Well, maybe we can have her talk to Viola from Kalos and maybe that will cause her to forget all about Guzma."
Of course that's making a lot of assumptions about Cupcake's daughter and on Viola. But at the very least it might be a distraction for her to get away from Guzma.
Actually, now that he thought of it, getting her away from Plumeria might be more important. The tapu could see Cupcake's daughter come for Guzma and stay for Plumeria.
Ah, but that was probably something to worry about later. It was snack time. Koko quickly flew back to the Ruins of conflict, grabbed some of the confections, and then flew back. After that, he handed one of the confections to Cupcakes.
"Well, you certainly need a sugar boost more than me. Anyone would when dealing with old Guzma."
And no, he wasn't going to correct Cupcakes on Guzma's age since he thinks it's funnier that way.
Cupcakes listened to Koko's words, but.... wait, did she misspeak earlier? Did he think she meant romantically?? Her face shifted into horror at the idea and may of fought off the instinct to gag at the idea.
"Oh my Helix I might of said the wrong thing!! Nonono she's not dating him! Last she said, she's homoromantic! I just meant she looked up to him in a way, that's all!! Something about the idea of found family with those that may of been mistreated by people just resonated, and him battling with Golisopod looked cool! Isn't he too old too? Fourty something? She's only twenty four! That has to be too much for humans with their lifespans..."
It's a good thing she waited before damage control, otherwise that last question might of been missed.
"I think that's a good idea. Helix knows I need to calm down after that mental image."

Cordie's on his day off from work, and as such he took the opportunity to bug Koko into taking some pictures at the beach. He's using his model knowledge to find the best angles and poses, so he probably really likes his job.
Or maybe Koko was right and his passions are misplaced, but that's not the point right now.
"Come on, look at the camera and hit a cool pose!"
"Cool Pose? You mean like this?" Modeling always did sound fun to Koko. Being able to pose and be sexy and be paid for it? It sounded like a good deal to him.
That being said he wasn't sure if having Cordie direct him was a good or bad idea yet, but there was probably no harm in trying... right?
Anyway, Koko tried posing in a martial arts pose. It was the first thing that came to mind when he heard the word cool pose. He knew his face was just him being awkward but he could fix that after he got the pose right.

"Well, that's certainly a way to create an alias. Well, I guess you can get away with saying it's a nickname since it technically is. Still, I guess it's good to name yourself after something you love."
Koko, you're not one to talk. Your alias is literally the first syllable of your name.
"Perhaps I did see your daughter around. There are plenty of rangers here trying to help preserve the environment of this region. Give your daughter my regards in that matter. But also tell her she has shit taste in men. There are plenty of other bug specialists that she could date like..."
Koko had to pause here for a moment to think of all the bug-type specialists he knew and there weren't that many that were men. But surely they would be better in her eyes than Guzma... and single of course.
"Uh, Burgh and Noland. Uh, anyway, having more baked goods from you sounds lovely. Actually, do you have time to eat some together?"
"Many years ago. It's actually thanks to my teacher I got my name. Told me to try cupcakes instead of trying to eat poffins since those are for Pokemon, little did he know. I enjoyed them so much, as well was the baking itself, so I kept it up and eventually took over his store!"
She found herself amused at the Tapus shock. It was always fun whenever someone found that little fact out. "Why yes, I adopted two kids, or at least they were. Twenty four years old now, both of them. You might of seen Faith around? She works as a Pokemon Ranger! Pearl, my son, helps me with the bakery back home, but both are just so sweet." She got so distracted gushing about her kids, she almost forgot about the Guzma question.
"Unfortunately Faith likes him. I believe because of his bug type Pokemon. As much as I find him distasteful, I don't yet wish any harm to him, but I also won't interfere as this region isn't anywhere near my terriortory. Thank you, Tapu Koko. Whichever island I open up on, if you'd like, I can still bring baked goods for you!"

... Different Giratina, same personality it seems. It had to do with the fact that Giratina is the ruler of the distortion world, the world opposite and balancing ours. So, their morality was probably a bit different because of that. Still, why did all of them remind him of Sableye?
Actually, maybe a Beedrill might have been a more apt comparison with how she was buzzing around and talking up a storm like how they buzzed. Not to mention the blond hair helped with that comparison.
"That's quite impressive. Did you learn how to bake from the bakeries in Hearthome?" Oh no, someone from a reverse world is better at cooking than Koko. Well, that wasn't a confidence booster, but it's probably not to best thing about that. Especially since he was beginning to lose the plot a bit.
"Wait, hold you have children? And they like Guzma?" Well, that was quite the confression? Oh, was it her way to tell him that she wanted something to be done about it? That wouldn't be a problem.
"Well, I'm sorry that your children have poor taste in humans. Maybe I should try smoking out team skull with fire next time. Oh, but still, I don't mind you hanging around here and I hope you do enjoy your stay here, and you're welcome to visit me if you need something."
"If I get caught, then I just become a local legend by vanishing in the cell later after they find no trace of me. If I don't, then I find somewhere to slip away back home quietly." Sometimes Cupcakes should hear herself, maybe she'll get better with conversations.
"You're welcome. Everything except the malasada was made by either me, or my son. Not another one of me, I know how terrifying some can think of that."
She leaned in a little, getting a good look at the Tapu. Truthfully, this was the first time she had encountered one, and he was so nice too!
"Locations! While I love Hearthome, sometimes the same sights get boring. Seeing if any of the islands might welcome a Sinnoh style bakery, and I thought before anything I should offer something to the local Tapu. You're the first one I've been to."
"My daughter, adopted like my son, might like that bug fellow in Po town I think it was, but I might visit that island as more of a... formality." Her expression shifted, thinking of Guzma or team skull just... left an unpleasant taste in her mouth.
"Of course, if you or any of the tapus have anything to say, that'll change my mind of where I set up. Outside of my getting your attention, I wouldn't want to cause any disruptions or problems."

So don't be careless when you teleport things? Well, that's something that should have been said before the experiment, not after the fact. Oh, Lucas, if you don't learn from this incident you're definitely going to get what's coming for you, and it wasn't necessarily going to be coming from Koko.
"Hmmm, oh I think remember Blue talking about that before. Something about wishing he was there or that Leaf took a picture. Something like that. Well, I guess we know that that scientist is from Kanto at least."
Would it be too much to ask Nico to travel to Kanto for him and try to find that scientist? Actually, he probably should research who that scientist was first before sending Nico off to find him.
"I mean I hope that's the case. The thing is I'm not sure if we can replicate the exact circumstances or that there are factors outside of our knowledge. Either way, Lucas needs to learn how to use my powers before we can do that again, and that might open up another can of worms.
He listened to Koko’s story, smugly brushing off the internal comments that suggested a low opinion of his intelligence since he’s not the one in a predicament right now, and as he heard about what happened he couldn’t help but think about what kind of lunatic would come up with the idea to use a teleportation Z-Move to essentially bend the laws of the universe.
Well, other than Lucas, apparently.
“Not exactly, but there were a few similar incidents. Like, when I stopped paying attention while teleporting an object and ended up spawning it inside something else, or when I didn’t account for the Earth’s rotation and ended up chucking things into outer space. If anything, getting you to switch places with him is one way to make sure those things don’t happen…” Nico’s voice trailed off as he continued to speak because he was thinking about the implications of that experiment, but then he caught himself and continued to explain what he knew.
This is totally not going to have serious consequences down the line.
“But there was actually something like that in another region that I heard about. You know, there was this scientist that was experimenting with teleportation devices and ended up switching bodies with his Nidorino because his machine didn’t have enough power to complete the process. It was a pretty big deal at the time, but that’s basically what happened to you, right? And since that story didn’t end in complete tragedy, that means you can get your body back if you do something similar.”
"Hopefully soon. It's weird when you look like this."

"Somehow I doubt that, but at this point, I'll take all the help I can get." Ugh, maybe he shouldn't have admitted he was desperate for help like that knowing Nico. Still, it was true. The faster he gets out of this situation, the less likely that something bad will happen while they are stuck like this.
Still, couldn't he get someone smarter than Nico to help out? Ugh, beggars can't be choosers, can they?
"Lucas tried to teleport me out of the Region's boundaries with a Z-Teleport. Instead of that working, we ended up switching bodies." It really was a stupid idea in hindsight. Although that could be the worry and paranoia talking.
"I don't suppose something like that happened when you tried teleporting objects and people before?"
As much as Nico wanted to point and laugh like that one yellow-skinned cartoon character right now, he wasn’t the type to leave his friends without help when they needed it so he made sure to keep his thoughts to himself at that moment. Despite that, he was grinning so wide that Koko didn’t need to be a telepath to know what he’s thinking.
“Sure thing! I know a thing or two about these situations, so I’ll see what I can do.” Technically Nico’s case wasn’t that similar, since it was more in line with possession instead of whatever psychic mumbo-jumbo Koko did, but at the end of the day he was the one controlling a body that wasn't originally his for longer so that made him the expert.
Then again, body swaps are basically possessions with extra steps, right?
“I gotta know, though, what did you guys do to end up like this? I had no idea that you even could switch bodies with another person.”

A malicious energy manifests in the room as Nico appears from somewhere, though by now it’s already common knowledge that he can teleport. As he gets a good look at Koko, though, the expression on his face tells that he’s very confused about what he’s seeing.
He followed the traces of Koko’s aura, right? Then why was Lucas standing in front of him?
Then, as realization dawned upon him, that look of confusion turned into one of barely-concealed schadenfreude. Right, something fishy was definitely going on here but that was unmistakably Koko. He’s a telepath, so he knows these things!
“Koko Puff, is that you? I came over because I wanted to give you something nice, but you’re looking different!”
“Did you change your hair or something?”
Ugh, wasn't it enough that Koko was stuck in someone else's body? No, what was he saying, if a situation could get worse then it was probably Nico to be the one to make it worse.
What a pain to be on the receiving end of this torment for once. Well, at the very least Koko could say he was glad it wasn't Necrozma who found him like this. Nico was the friendly cryptic horror and easier to deal with after all.
"Yeah, yeah. It's me. Are you just going to stand there and make fun of me or are you going to help find a way to switch me and Lucas back?"
Yeah, needless to say, Koko wasn't in the mood for any of Nico's shit right now.

"'Peopley', huh? And you think trespassing is better than dealing with people?"
Eh, actually he knew a couple of people who could have the same thought process. A certain darkrai was the first person that came to mind. Anyway, Koko noticed just how this girl didn't seem phased at all by meeting a legendary Pokemon. Most normal people would be shocked or surprised but she didn't seem to care less. That must mean... oh she admitted it already.
"Uh... It's nice to meet you too cupcakes. Thanks for the... uh, cupcakes." A Giratina who named herself cupcakes. That was something he didn't expect to run into.
Ugh, get it together Koko. Don't let her devil-may-care attitude shake you. Got to get your composure, Koko.
"Well, I hope you enjoy your stay in the region then. If I may ask though, what are you checking for exactly?"
"Off limits? I'm sorry, it's been so long since I was last in Alola. People were a bit too... peopley, so I thought I'd just cut through the woods. Wasn't expecting to run into you so soon though, thought you'd of wanted to enjoy the offerings first." She just kept an innocent smile, playing the fool.
"Th' names Cupcakes! Yes, I picked it myself, and yes, I'm aware of how it stands out. It's cute, and easier to go by in this form than Giratina." No point in hiding, she did release some Pressure just to talk with the Tapu in the first place. "Just doing some check ins, since I might be in the region a bit more."
