"Kitkat, you're the best, I will give you..." She pauses, thinking of what to give him. "Anything I can put on a will, I guess? I dunno, either way, I forfeit all my mortal posessions to Katsuie." Her poor figure collection may take a hit but alas, Katsuie is her bro and he can have anything from her.

She sits and begins to eat, praising Katsuie and Shingen in her mind for this, as some food could likely do her brain some good, and her stomach surely isn't complaining either. Even if the options weren't the most grand, Shanice didn't care, food is food and if the food tastes good, that's all that matters to her.

Her head moves up when she hears Shingen speak, nodding in agreement to his assessment about Chikage and how he didn't stock up. It would make the most sense if he didn't, thinking he's the only one who'd be there anyway, nobody else but Chikage even came here for a while.

"Makes sense, good job either way, though." She replies, before he poses his next question and she hears a hint of something in his voice. She immediately jumps to it being suspicion. It'd only make sense

She figured as much, she isn't exactly non suspicous, given one, Nobunaga certainly didn't like her enough to personally join her, even if this trip was likely the norm for a wife to be of someone as important as Mitsuhide, Nobunaga technically, probably didn't have any obligations to come- nor would Katsuie, assuming the trip would normally be left to the couple.

There's also the fact Shingen had wanted to talk to Shanice personally at that one point, asking her questions, that while she answered, weren't entirely note worthy answers; she didn't give away much of anything, likely leaving more questions than answers, even if she doubts he sees her as a threat. She clearly gave him every reason to be slightly suspect of her, but she'll hopefully clear the air later when- if she comes clean.

"It was nice," She says. "Lovely architecture, nice vibes, everything was cool. I loved it."

Now, if she and Mitsuhide had to have pretended to have an engagement out of love, she'd have likely had to comment on it being a romantic scene and atmosphere which, even she'd find weird coming from her. She's not a romantic unless she's trying to wing woman, and she's sure if she said something like that, even Shingen who barely knows her would think she got hit on the head with a blunt object.

"How were you guys while we were gone? Getting along, I'd hope."

Mitsuhide, too, had forgotten he was holding Shanice's hand until it was time to eat. Fortunately for his sanity, Katsuie either did not notice or declined to comment. He murmured a quiet thanks toward his comrade and ... friend ... before sitting down and beginning to eat. Katsuie was a good person despite how often he exhausted Mitsuhide's energy just by entering the room. In the end, he found himself glad Katsuie came with them. Just the sort of person one might need to keep Shanice mostly enjoying the journey, however taxing the travel might get.

The redheaded vampire was immensely proud of himself for having had a hand in producing a good looking meal out of such meager options, grinning from ear to pointed ear as Shanice ruffled his hair. But as if on cue, Shingen entered the room, causing Katsuie and Mitsuhide to shift a little and make more room for him to sit down.

"It would have been easier if Chikage restocked this place better but I guess he wouldn't if he was leaving, since no one else lives here," Shingen commented with a sigh, having overheard Shanice's thank you.

He flopped down onto the ground, watching them all for a moment before speaking again.

"How was touring the shrine? What did you think?"

Something lingered beneath his curious, cheerful tone. Tiredness? Suspicion? Perhaps a mix of both. Regardless, his posture remained relaxed as he started eating. It had been a long day and he looked forward to the meal. No matter how humble it may be.

"It's hard to imagine being like that," She shrugs, she's anything but put together, everyone seemed to have had a guide on how to live their lives properly, maturely too, that she had missed out on- and she can only elated to his words. It's rare to meet anyone who's truly disruptive to the norm. "I phsyically cannot imagine going without a bit of chaos in my life."

Now, she's no Masked Fool, despite certainly being masked and a fool, but she does appreciate the need for something other than boring monotony that seemed so easy to deal with for others- perhaps, life just won't allow it.

"...Life without a bit of spice? It'd bore me to tears, same for you?"

Marquez was leaning forward, himself, off some furnishings he had no earthly business being seated on, but still finding some way to make it look comfortable. He mulled over his fellow masquerader's words and could only find himself to compare to.

"Most everyone I get to meeting, they just sorta cruise on by without being disruptive at all. I don't know how they can go without shaking things up every so often."

Her gaze moves to the mugs, before a smirk appears on her lips, deviously, she sneakily opens the bags and winks. "Countdown from three and see who gets the most in a time limit too? After all, it cooould be more fun if we up the stakes just a little." She whispers back to him, tone full of mischief.

Truthfully, she likes hot cocoa on rare ocassions but she likes things like this even more than the hot cocoa!

As he sits waiting for his mug of hot cocoa to cool down some, he eyes the bag of marshmallows in the table and a sly look crosses his face as his boredom suddenly shifts to impish excitement. In a hushed whisper, he asks.

"...Want to see who can put the most marshmallows in their cocoa without one falling off?"

The only way you can tell if something is deeply wrong with Shanice in a verse is if her eyes have light to them, her eyes are normally always dull and lifeless, so when her eyes are full of light and life, it's actually the opposite of how she's intended to be. Any AU where she has eyes full of light means she's either going to lose it later or she's completely messed up in that universe.
