Portfolio
Genres
•The genres featured on my online portfolio are things like Still Life, Locations and Fashion but they all fit around a wedding theme.
Future Genres
A genre I would like to add to my portfolio is photojournalism as that is what I am most interested in currently.
Also I would like to do stock photography as I think there is some money to be made there.
Improving current Genres
I think that there is always room for improving my photographs.
The way that I would expand the locations genre is by hopefully getting to travel around the world and take pictures of sight seeing attractions.
Also to keep the money coming in I would like to expand the fashion by photographing actual brides and bridesmaids on the day.
Portfolio
.Type of case I like is a rigid cased portfolio.
. I like how the whole image can be viewed as the folio is flat.
•The amount of images I would have on my physical portfolio is 15-20 images. •My online portfolio would contain at least 10 images per Genre. And about 4 or 5 genres.
 •Currently I am using wix.

This series of photographs were shot by Christopher Mckenny demonstrating photo manipulation. In this image the body attached to the head has been masked to look like its not there. The way to do this is by taking a picture of the background then taking a picture of the subject and just masking the unwanted parts on Photoshop. For this specific image I think that someone is holding the rope up to make it look like the head is being hung.
  Pre-Production plan.

    How I will do it.
To achieve a similar image to this I will photograph the background as one image separately and a picture with the subject in the middle. Then using Photoshop I will layer the images on top of each other then mask the body so the head looks like it is disassembled from the body.

My original inspiration was Christopher McKenna as he removes the body parts of his models. What I would improve of this picture is the position of the model so I would be able to remove he skin so it looks like the clothes are just there instead of removing her stomach. I like the background used in this picture as it looks like a fairy-tale setting. The settings I used for the background picture were f11 and a shutter speed of 1/40. For the second picture I used the same settings. To achieve the outcome of disappearing body parts I used the masked layer on photoshop. First I layered the images on top of each other so that when I make parts disappear you can see what is behind. Next I clicked on the mask layer and selected the paintbrush using the colour black so to make the unwanted parts disappear. During this process I made a few mistakes so I switched the colour black to white and made the image reappear again.

35mm film is most commonly used for chemical still photography and motion pictures. The name refers as to how wide the film.

Black and White reversal film: This is a very uncommon type of film. The negative film can be reversal-processed to black and white slides.

Colour reversal film: This produces positive transparencies. They can also be called slides as they are also used in projecting. Colour reversal image can also be used for motion picture film for a positive image on the camera original. This avoids the expenses of using negatives.

Film research
What is film made of?
Photographic film is a strip of transparent plastic film base. On one side it is coated with a gelatin emulsion containing moicroscopic light sensitive silver halide crystals. The size and other characteristics determine sensitivity, contrast and the resolution of the film.
  What are halide crystals?
Halide crystals are in photographic film and are microscopic. They are very sensitive to light. Depending on the size and other characteristics the sensitivity, contrast and the resolution varies. When a silver halide is exposed to light a sensitivity spec on the crystal turn metallic silver. If the spec contains four or more atoms it can be developed.
  What is cross processing?
Cross processing is the using a chemical solution intended for a different type of film. These types of photographs are characterised by a high contrast and unnatural colours. Results of this differ depending on the type of film, the amount of light exposed and chemical used to develop the film.
What is e6 and C41 processing?
C-41 is a chromogenic colour print film developing process. This involves the film being developed in a colour developer. The ingredient is a chemical known as CD-4. This develops the silver emulsion layers and as that is developing, the oxidised developer reacts with the dye resulting in a colour formation.
E6 is a chemical process for developing Transparencies like colour reversal (slide) photographic film.
  What formats of film?
Print Film: produces transparent negatives using light and dark areas. It was designed to be printed onto photographic paper usually by an enlarger but can also be done by contact printing.

Review
Review Megan’s work is very different experimental photography; I have never seen experimental photography used like this so therefore I like the difference in with this image. To improve on this image I would suggest everything was ready and also the model as the hand of the model is very blurry. The composition of the image is decent as its not dead pan and it’s slightly to the right, which puts more of an edge to the image. This image could have been brighter to make the colours stand out on the models jumper so you would focus on the part that’s missing. The masking technique used is done really well and very effective as the branches are all in line and I also like how her elbow looks like its resting on the branch. To improve on the composition of this I would of added her feet in the image as its just cut across and shows only a part of the models shoe. The story personally to me seems that the model is quite shy as she is covering her face. I would of placed the model in a more deserted background as the model would have been in more in focus and you would have been able to notice the missing body parts more.
