Welcome to the Unofficial Top Tumblr Relationships Bracket!
Many people on Tumblr might have engaged in the practice of "shipping" in relation to "media". Some, according to legend, even have opinions on these matters.
If the above happens to apply to you, you might be eligible to vote in this bracket! We have pitted the most popular pairings of the 2023 Tumblr Year in Review against each other to see who will emerge victorious. Round 1 polls drop on Saturday, April 20th at 3PM CST, and will run for a full week.

How was the bracket made?
This bracket was made based off Tumblr's 2023 year in review ship list, and edited to fit into a workable bracket. Matchups were seeded according to ranking on the list.
What are your stances on voter fraud, campaigning, bribing people with drabbles and/or art, etc?
Enthusiastically in favor, although we do ask that you don't DDOS Tumblr, and ideally don't commit any murders that can be traced back to us.
Why aren't there platonic relationships in this bracket? There were in the AO3 one.
The AO3 data we were working with included all kinds of relationship tags, including platonic ones. The Tumblr year in review top ship list does not.
I have an issue with [x] being included in this poll.
This poll is a celebration of fandom and fandom history; we're aware that there are certain issues with some of the listed pairings and sources, but they are a part of that history. Please do not take this as an endorsement of anything included in the bracket, and refrain from harassment.

It's Time
You know that onshot that you're pretty sure you're 5% of the total hits for, you've read it so many times? Have you ever considered the prospect of art based on it?
You know that art piece that you used as your computer desktop so long you gave up and printed it to put on your wall, so that it could always be with you? Have you considered a web weave based on its themes and ideas? Are you considering it now?
You know that longfic that you have a standing appointment to scream about with your friends when it updates? That fic where your favourite character is a side character we haven't seen in four chapters? That story where you were in the author's discord server and you all built an AU together where things went just a little differently and it was happier (or maybe angstier)? What if you could get a sequel to the story, see more from that side character, get that AU written out?
The MCYTBLR Recursive Exchange just went live, and we are entirely set up to make those art pieces, web weaves, or fics a reality. An entire exchange just for fic of fic, art of fic, web weaves of art, art of fic, fic of web weaves, and more. We are celebrating the creations we all know and love within the MCYT space, and we are now live.

We need everyone to be part of a discord because tumblr messaging at an exchange of this size is a great way to ge shadowbanned. Again. (Like we did for the previous two exchanges.) I think tumblr staff is gonna start throwing things at me if I get shadowbanned again. So a discord, and we even have a sprints channel and some fun discussions!
The exchange is live, and we are open to every segment of MCYTBLR! We already have 118 people signed up!
Holding Witchcraft SMP in your heart forever? Congrats on your signups for Yuletide this year, but if you missed that exchange, you can join ours, and we already had 16 people offering WCSMP as an option! Absolutely vibrating about the new life series? First of all, LETSGO SECRETS and second of all, we have 77 people signed up for life series, who you could potentially match with! Always and forever on the Technoblade main lifestyle? You can sign up for Technoblade DSMP, OSMP, SMPEarth, Potato War, or VR in this exchange, and boy have we had people sign up— the lowest sign up we have of those is for Technoblade VR, and 7 people have opted into that media.
We have detailed signups for DSMP, Hermicraft, Empires, Traffic, OSMP, Lifesteal, and QSMP, and we have 34 smaller fandoms you can opt into as well. We can't absolutely promise to match on any of the smaller fandoms, but the benefit of being such a big exchange is that it does becomes possible to match on rarer matches, and we do match with smallest-fandoms-first, prioritizing rarer matches, so it's a definite possibility!

How was the bracket made?
This bracket was made based off centreoftheselights's data on the most-written pairings of all time, and edited to fit into a workable bracket. Matchups were seeded according to number of works.
This is a platonic/familial relationship, not a ship! Why is it on a ship bracket?
The top relationships on AO3 include both platonic and romantic/sexual relationships; so does this bracket. If the relationship is formatted as "[Character X] & [Character Y]" it is not a romantic pairing. If it is formatted as "[Character X]/[Character Y]" it is. (For efficiency, when a pairing showed up as both & and / in the data, only the higher-ranked version was chosen.)
What are your stances on voter fraud/bribery/etc.?

Hello There! We're running an interest check for MCZR, a zine dedicated to minecraft speedrunning and those who create for it. The continuation of this project depends on the interest in it, so we'd appreciate if you'd take a second to fill out this interest form :) Thank you!!
EDIT: Just want to clarify that while obviously a lot of this will be cc's, we're also interested in art focused more around the PROCESS of speedrunning (there are LOTS of cool opportunities for art about routing bastions/forts, killing the dragon, all advancements, etc!)
In addition to that, we would also be interested in finding a way to include skin artists! They're such a large part of the community and it feels right to represent them in a project like this. Thanks again!

Hello all! For the next week, we're running an interest check for Tails from the Rats SMP, a non-profit Rats SMP fanzine that takes inspiration from children's storybook anthologies to tell the tale of the attic rats' time in the Icraga mansion!
With Pirates having only just set sail a few days ago we didn't want to overwhelm anyone (including ourselves!) with open applications right off the bat, however we are looking to get a gauge on what we'll be heading into over the coming weeks! Filling out this interest check will be a huge help to us in seeing how many applications we may end up with, what ratio of artists to writers we're likely to see, and how many people will be interested in reading the zine at all! It's also a great way to ask us questions or make suggestions if you don't want to send them as asks, especially if you're an artist in a medium outside of 2-D art and literature who would want to contribute!
This interest check will be running for a week and will close at 11:59 PM on Friday, August 11th. Over the course of the week we'll be making posts outlining any guidelines that we'll have for zine submissions so that you have plenty time to look at them before applications open! Speaking of applications, they'll be opening on the Monday after this form closes and will run for two weeks, closing at 11:59 PM on Monday, August 28th! Participants will be picked in early September and we're hoping for a creation period that lasts through December. More details will be released as we post our guidelines though, so keep an eye out for those!

DSMP Pin-Up Calendar - Details and FAQ

DSMP Pin-Up Calendar is an artistic celebration of the characters of the DSMP, drawing inspiration from the creativity of the fandom community, "hot guy" calendars, action movie posters, classic pin-ups, vintage advertisements, art prints, and more, in the form of a 2024 calendar.
FAQ:
Which characters are going to be in the calendar? There are 38 people on the DSMP, so we're not going to be able to fit them all. We're going to attempt to build a portfolio that covers as many characters as possible, but we're not deciding on which characters specifically until we know which artists we have and what ideas for images they have.
Are the characters played by minors involved? There are no current minors involved with the DSMP, but we understand that the creators being underage for much of the server's run puts a bit of a damper on enjoying more salacious images of the characters. In cases where artists decide they want to draw a character who was underage for a significant period of time of the DSMP, we'll ask that their images tend closer to "action movie poster" or "vintage advertisement" than "pin up".
Is NSFW allowed? We want this calendar to be fun and a bit cheeky, and we want to allow the artists creative liberty, but we also want you to be able to display this without your parents going "what the hell"? No actual NSFW will be part of the calendar.
I want to draw [x] character, can I draw them? During the application and planning process, we'll ask artists to indicate which characters they want to draw. We will then draw up a plan for the calendar, and artists will be assigned a character or characters based on the ones they selected.
Do the images have to stay canon-compliant? Can I draw my own design for a character? We encourage you to bring your own designs to the table, and feel free to set the characters within a canon setting OR an au.
How will I get the calendar? We will be printing a bound calendar through a central source, probably Mixbox, and we will also be making a PDF version that you can print yourself locally, if you have a different print source in mind or if the website doesn't ship to your country.
How much money are you making from this? We are not making any money from this project. If you buy the calendar through a source that asks you to pay for it, it will be priced at-cost, so you will only be paying for the cost of the printing and shipping. The mod team will see no profit from it.
How does the process work? We are going to open the calendar up to applications, and then we're going to go through the apps and select artists that can draw a wide variety of characters. Once in the discord, we're going to ask artists to pitch us a variety of ideas, and then the mod team is going to select pitches to make sure we, ideally, get a variety of different images and characters represented. We will then go through sketches, final, layout, and then release it for you all to buy or print!
