He’s waiting for her with his weapon raised, anticipating a good fight. There’s a lot to be said about her combat prowess, and Kenpachi always looks forward to opponents that stand more of a chance than most.
“ Alright ! I’ll do my best to give you a good fight, sir ! “
She shifted to form, Kotoumaru at the ready.
After everything that had happened those few years ago, Matsuri hadn’t gotten the chance to truly fight with her all in awhile.
“ Tachiharae, Kotoumaru ! “
As her blade began its transformation, she was already moving, flash-stepping closer, and leaping above Kenpachi to swing down at him, her shikai forming properly just as she made her downqard swing.
