Help a trans man get away from his family.
Hi, I’m posting on this blog because it’s the place where I have the biggest following and I don’t know what else to do. I’m moving out of state on July 25th to put distance between me and my transphobic parents so I can pursue transitioning (I’m not telling them where I’m going and changing my number to escape them, basically.)
Until today I was unaware of the fact I’d only have 30 days to register my vehicle, and that Illinois also requires you to retitle it, which is altogether $300 I won’t have. All my money from my next couple of paychecks is going towards apartment fees, the first months rent and security deposit will be $1,400 total. My other option would be to try to take out a loan to pay the fees I guess but I’d like to avoid that if possible on the off chance I can’t make payments I can’t deal with legal trouble that might arise from that.
I really don’t want to lose my car, or not be able to drive it. I don’t have anyone that would be able to bring me to work and if I can’t work I can’t stay in the apartment. Anything extra if I even happen to make this amount will be to make sure I can eat the first couple of weeks before more paychecks come. Even if I can manage to put it off and just not drive I won’t have left over money after bills to be able to pay $300 for a couple of months.
