I’ve been a Yamaha Drums Artist for a month now and i’m so inspired by these drums!! The Maple Hybrid Absolute drums are insanely versatile. They sound soooo great in every tuning ..I even popped calf heads on it last week and they get that spooky thing going on..here’s a Modular Synth Bass Line that I’m improvising over to give you an idea of the tones..the snare is a Yamaha 6.5 x 14 Brass..💥💥💥💥 https://www.instagram.com/p/BxDmyzsBici/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1cyt071j0mks4

“Stop aspiring and start writing. If you’re writing, you’re a writer.”
Alan Watts (via alanwilsonwatts)
“I’ve reblogged this statement by Alan Watts a number of times now, and I must admit that the profundity of its implications never ceases to galvanise me time and time again.
I propose that unlike professions requiring rigorous accreditation, for all worthwhile intents and purposes, one can be deemed an artist exclusively by the degree to which they make art.
Many aspiring artists prematurely kill their muses on the basis of an incorrect assumption that their graduation into their desired titles (be it playwright or filmmaker or musician or comedian or poet or screenwriter or philosopher or painter or dancer) is dependent upon the attainment of either fame, recognition, or wealth.
I’m not suggesting that desiring recognition or compensation for one’s artistry isn’t a worthwhile pursuit; it just isn’t the necessary condition upon which to evaluate your success. If you’re making films, you’re a filmmaker. If you’re making music, you’re a musician. ‘If you’re writing, you’re a writer.’
So, by all means, make bad art. However inadequate it might initially appear to your critical eyes, commit yourself to creating something in the medium that is consistent with your aspirations.
If you’re lucky, the fame, the recognition, and the fortune will find you. Either way, however, you’ll have legitimately earned your desired title simply by virtue of having committed to the act of creation.” —Blogger’s Comment
