Hi little potatoes! sorry for disappearing and not posting anything for a while now.

Uni is getting too much. Too much task to do and not enough time. I’m having my bachelorette degree at the end of may and beginning of June. After that I’ll come back with regular drawings again!

I thought I’ll share with you the sketches I started doing for my graphic design portfolio (applied there too haha). These are for book covers which I hope I’ll have enough time to finish. Let me know what you think of them, and don’t be shy to recommend books to do covers for :D

I think it’s incredibly fucked how capitalism discourages learning for learning’s sake. People will have interests they’ve spent years researching then say it’s “useless knowledge” bc it didn’t go towards a college degree and isn’t part of their job. Learning is never useless! Your brain is growing and developing throughout your whole life! People would never have epiphanies or sudden lightening strikes of creativity if they weren’t learning new things! That goes double for topics like science, politics, and history, which inform your understanding of the world you live in!

How to Build a Character Profile

Start with basic character stats. Age, job, physical description, etc.

Develop surface character traits. Speech, mannerisms, etc.

After that, brainstorm relationships. Family, friends, enemies, etc.

Next, dig deeper. Create a background story. Ask personal questions to reveal your character's conflicts, goals, obstacles, lifestyle, etc.
