When the skips hit hard

"Oh wow..." "What?" "Your heart's a bit more fluttery than I was expecting." "Not used to being listened to I guess."

Just hinting at a lil headcanon for myself that CS's heart used to be regular but after Certain Events his heart is now a bit skippy sometimes. He doesn't feel them majority of the time, they're usually little skips, but sometimes they hit a bit hard.

I do have a part 2 in mind for these two, keep an eye out for that :)

think i've finally figured out how to get stemoscope audio to play through my computer, I don't have to fight the weird wire in my audio splitter anymore!

Honestly, I don't think I'd mind either. Maybe being stethed? I like the closeness (ear-stething) and putting me in charge of a stethoscope would make me embarrassed LOL

In case it wasn't obvious from my animations, I like irregular/skippy heartbeats. Fast and slow are good too but skips are next level LOL I believe it comes from my own experience in the past, used to have a lot of skips and stuff. I think they're cute, like a lil surprise from someone's heart. However, the person does have to be okay, like it's just how their heart is or it's just having a moment but they feel okay. Don't want anybody distressed.

If I'm exercising or purposely feeling my chest, yes. Feeling the occasional skip is neat too! However I don't really like having palpitations, like if I'm trying to sleep and my heart is pounding for no reason. That usually means there's panic on the horizon.

🤎 How did you discover your Cardiophilia?

I think it's something I've had for majority of my life come to think about it, used to watch a lot of cartoons with the cartoon heart, my mum was a nurse so I'd play with her stethoscope a lot, I have very distant memories of drawing EKGs on the characters in colouring books when I was really young, like maybe 4-5?? (AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING AND WHERE DID I SEE AN EKG AT THAT AGE???) I think the moment when I discovered it was like when I was about 15, maybe a bit younger, when I started having irregular episodes. Went onto Youtube and I think it was "heart beat stethoscope" i searched and fell down a rabbit hole. I didn't realize it had a word until a couple years later but that's the events leading up to it.

💔 Do you have any embarrassing heart-related moments?

Aside from the hindsight of literally no one bringing up that I was drawing EKGs in my colouring books. I had to explain to my mum about my cardiophilia after her finding a stethoscope in my room and when I left one at my dad's place-- mortifying but ultimately she didn't care, she saw it as me been a teen and experimenting, she mostly wanted to make sure I wasn't having secret heart trouble I wasn't telling her LOL

Nah, I don't really feel sexual arousal towards much of anything. Cardiophilia is more of a curiosity/comfort thing to me. I've tried, just don't feel anything. I shouldn't really have to try which is a huge indicator for the BIG ACE.

Since you said you animate through Clip Studio EX, I have the PRO version (pretty sure the animation features are somewhat similar)

You don't need the EX version to animate as you can just use the layers, I used to animate with SAI for a long time

For tips when it comes to animating:

Frame rate is usually 12fps, go up to 24 only if you have to.

Less frames = faster / More frames = Slower

Momentum is important, rarely is a movement in perfect intervals

Simplify your designs, you'll thank yourself later

and most importantly: make sure your keyframes look good before you make your inbetweens. Your eyes will naturally fill in the blanks, if you can tell what a character is doing based on key frames alone then you're good to start smoothing out the animation!

Had a really weird heart moment last night, felt a few skips and it started pounding out of nowhere, wasn't super fast but really thumping

I felt really shaky afterwards so I think it was a panic attack, didn't feel unwell or anything. Not been sleeping well lately so my heart probably wasn't very happy about it.

Lasted about 5 minutes, I'm okay!

Yes yes, there will be more. Especially with a certain game releasing soon.
