UV&UV Index

I did not know that I need to check the UV every day . Did you?

The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation is the main cause of skin cancer. UV damage also causes sunburn, tanning, premature ageing and eye damage .

The World Health Organization's Global Solar UV Index measures UV levels on a scale from 0 (Low) to 11+

For smartphone users, our free SunSmart app is a great way to check the UV Index when you are out and about. iPhone users can download it at the iTunes App Store and Android users at the Google Play store.

You can also check the Index for cities and towns across Australia with the widget on our homepage. If you have your own website you can download our widget free of charge.

So whether you are at work, home or on the move, you can easily and quickly check the times of the day when sun protection is needed.

Please check the UV every day to take a proper protection.

Have you ever heard about Jessica Cox?

I am impressed by a powerful lady today. I was searching successful people in Google . Then I faced Jessica Cox. Her achievements with disability affected me deeply .

First Arm-less Pilot and Motivational speaker Jessica Cox is the world's first licensed armless pilot, as well as the first armless black-belt in the American Taekwondo Association. She was born without arms due to a rare birth defect. Jessica Cox (born 1983 in Arizona) .

Jessica Cox graduated from the University of Arizona in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in communications.

Cox has not used prosthetic arms since she turned 14. Using her feet as most people use their hands, she is able, among other things, to drive an unmodified car with an unrestricted license, to type on a keyboard at 25 words per minute, to pump her own gas, and to put in and remove her contact lenses. She is also a certified scuba diver.
