So enthralled into trying to make his curls completely perfect (damn, why couldn’t Madison just have taught him which products he should use?), Mason didn’t notice that Lennox had pulled up until he got out of the car, making him jump slightly. Pushing himself to his feet, he brushed down his jeans and ran one last hand through his curls, slipping his phone into his back pocket.

“Hey!”, he said with a bright grin, striding over to the other on his long legs and giving him a hug-- as he often did with the majority of people. “Where are we going for pizza? It’s been, like, forever since I had pizza. My cheer coach was super crazy about diets and stuff but now that i’m not in practice anymore I can eat whatever I want, except Madison still calls me to make sure I do it in moderation.”

It wasn’t a long drive from his apartment to the school dorms, but Lennox enjoyed it. he was able to relax and think about some things before he arrived. His mind was always filled with so many different things. From thinking about work, to school to his brothers. He just didn’t know how to figure it all out. 

Once he arrived at the dorms he saw Mason sitting on the curb, pulled up in his jeep and parked, getting out of the car. “Hey there,” he grinned. He didn’t know what to say the last time he went out for dinner was with a girl he liked and she’s no longer around. 

Mason wasn’t one for balancing his time well. He only had one class that morning, and had gone to cheer practice from 11 until 12:30, and despite not joining in with the practice, he’d still showered when he got back to the dorms, and was sitting with a towel around his waist when he noticed that he had a text from Lennox, received 10 minutes ago.

Panicking, he blasted his hair with the hairdryer, wishing Madison was there to tame his curls as he fumbled with them in the mirror, getting them semi presentable, but tugging on some jeans and a sweatshirt, leaving his cheer uniform crumpled on his bed. Ready in record time, he grabbed his wallet, keys and phone, and jogged down to the dorm building entrance, slightly out of breath when he reached the car park on the left hand side. Lennox wasn’t there yet, and he let himself take a few minutes to sit down on the curb, checking his hair with a pout on his phone’s camera.

Lennox had bee having a long day, he had worked all morning an all he wanted to do was relax; even if he didn’t know what that meant. He had been talking to Mason lately and yes he always called him adorable but he could’t help himself. Everything with Lucas had been done, Lennox still had a relationship with him, but he knew that the crush would eventually fade away and right now he promised Mason dinner. Lennox was not a good chef, he never mastered it even when he was caring for Darcy and Rory; it was not his forte, so decided that pizza would be the best. 

Changing out of work clothes and throwing on a pair of skinny jeans, vans and a v-neck top, Lennox grabbed his phone, texted Mason to let him know he was going to pick him up before piling himself into his jeep and making his way to Mason’s place.

Free food \o/

Pizza works though. It’s always good. Okay I’ll surprise you.
