"I'm going to play Dark Urge, I'm going to play a Drow, I'm going to play a Half Elf Cleric of Selune-" No. I grow tired of filling Faerun with hotties and encouraging my party's fatherless behavior.
To remedy this I have made Your Dad, the ultimate 1:1 replica of the average New Jersey father to save the realm and put a stop to my party's sad, horny business.
And before you can even ask "oh what is the Guardian Your Mom or something" of fucking course she is you fool
The most embarrassing thing I can say about S/JM is that I can tell she has read Phantom of the Opera fanfic and I can say exactly what type of Phantom of the Opera fanfic it was. And it's my least favorite type. 💀
You know what? It's probably controversial, but I'm fine with Anais Mitchell's next musical happening only decades from now. I'm even fine with Hadestown being her only musical. It's a masterpiece and I hope she and everyone involved in creating it are massively proud of it. It's as good as it is because they spent years and years perfecting it, even right up to the West End revival opening where they changed a few lines in Epic III. Sometimes letting things grow slowly overtime and caring for it with love is fine. I'll take one Hadestown over a slew of musicals that were made on a time crunch and that might end up being disappointments. And I think that goes for art in general - being productive really shouldn't matter. What matters is that you make something you're proud of and that brings joy to others.
