I spent quite a bit of time (8 hours) at the St. Louis International Airport last night.
TSA was closed, so I was with about 30 other exhausted travelers and the occasional airport nightshift janitor, trapped in the ticket agent area for 6 of them.
Everything was closed.
That being the case, I was particularly so very thrilled to encounter this #piano from @jacksonpianos downstairs. I enjoyed playing it to pass some of the time.
I took advatage of the lengthy downtime lounging on a surprisingly comfortable orange sofa thing while trying to drown out the sound of a floor polishing machine and the periodic broadcast of a warning to not leave my bags unattended, with Mozart in my earbuds, as to reflect on my adventure of attending this years PTG convention, my first in 12 years.
It was great to take some classes and gain some applicable skills and valuable knowledge. It was even greater to meet in person, so many people that I only knew before through electronic impressions from the internet.
My only regret is that I wasn’t able to meet and talk to everyone that I wanted to, or that I know would’ve liked to talk to me.
Next year I am going to try and have a booth on the exihibition floor in Lancaster so that it will be easier to connect with more folks.
Anyway, I had a terrific time.
Long live the PTG.
