statement
My topic is Ubiquity, at first, my idea is to collect photos of people playing on their phone. There's certain poses and facial expressions while they concentrate on the phone. I have tried put pictures in InDesign, but it hasn't come out quite impressive. After showing my work to our tutor, I decided to find something more interesting.
People usually make some strange poses when they were doing selfie that is ridiculously common. For example duck face, but I chose Scissorhands as almost every Asian did this in their selfie. This pose was meaning victory during the second world war. In 20th-century people use this pose as peace. But in most of the selfie, this pose wasn't saying anything, and I couldn't figure out why they were doing that. It can be defined as herd mentality, a behavior that people act the same way or adopt similar behaviors when other people around them .
I decide to put 8 of the images into one composite image to make the pose stand out more. I had watched few youtube tutorial and learned how to use photoshop to overlay each image with different opacity. The hand of each image at the same place, but another part of the picture became transparent to reinforce the Scissorhands.
