Unfortunately, in this case, it’s anything but comedic. In every generation of Gifted, there is always destined to be two. Two young people who exhibit Potentials beyond anyone’s imagination. One who has been taught by the world that trust should be earned and not simply given, and the other who just wants to know their purpose - to find where they truly belong. The first sees the world through broken lenses while the second fights to navigate the grey area between right and wrong - for what really is ‘good’ and ‘bad’ anyway?
With different outlooks on morality and purpose, these two young Gifted may not see eye to eye, but eventually they find their paths have been intertwined all along, despite their initial judgments of one another. Their newly found union sets off the tragedy in motion.
Just as they are about to make a breakthrough and make a change for the better, something pulls them apart. The cause might differ as faces change, but the damage is always inevitably done! One is always removed from the equation, leaving the one who was once blinded by selfishness see more clearly than ever for they have suffered the loss of their other half.
Every time the Two finally unite, they are their own undoing.
The tempo of the two is disturbed by the pursuit of independence, ambition, sense of duty, self-righteousness, and personal motives. When one acts alone, out of sync with the other, the broken rhythm ends up inevitably dooming them.
Will the tragic cycle ever end?

and I wasn’t trying to melt this heart of iron
but the way you hold me makes the old me pass away
and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared to fall again
but if you promise me you’ll catch me
then it’s okay
