the way that max and eleanor's relationship evolves over such a short amount of time (6-9 months) makes me so crazy. how long were they a thing before that. eleanor and vane had broken up not long before canon started, maybe a few months considering in ep1 hes asking her if she's de-prioritized giving leads to his crew since they broke up so it MUST have been recent-ish. but max tells eleanor she LOVES her in episode 2 so if they havent been together long they must be intense (obv). but also i cant help but wonder if eleanor wasnt going to max when vane was gone or if maybe this was an on and off thing (bc max says "him?" when eleanor comes in bruised so she at least Knows and is familiar with them as a couple). anyway the implications of all of this especially w vane and max in episode 2 and 3. diabolical

to be clear, that post is a joke. I'm jokingly referring to various discourses I remember happening on here surrounding black sails. the joke makes fun of how much discourse happens over the show through the hyperbolic idea that we as a fandom have had so many varied types and subjects of discussion that there's nothing left to say. obviously this is never true as people continue to offer new interpretations of even works created centuries ago, there will always be new things to discover in any well constructed art piece. the obvious exaggeration, which is accentuated with the sarcastic "literally," is meant to be funny. it's a joke post that exaggerates the sentiment that we argue a lot on here to a comical degree, like when you post about how you're crying and screaming and throwing up when you are in fact not doing those things. I am genuinely sorry if anyone felt personally attacked by that post, that was not the intention and it genuinely was not aimed at any specific work or person, but the general conversations that happened around each topic. you are free to think OFMD is better and everyone in black sails is a bi swiftie and thomas is awesome. you are allowed to do that and I don't actually think you are lesser as a person. it's fine.
