idk how people don’t get that the “bury your gays” trope is specifically when like the ONE gay character dies (and bonus points if they’re the only character who dies). it’s projecting that that character died because they were gay, that’s the problematic part. so either when everyone dies or better yet when EVERYONE IS GAY you KNOW the character didn’t die just BECAUSE they’re gay.

Why do people need subtitles to watch a show in English? I don't get it. What is wrong with the ears of young people?
#i have auditory processing issues but even so if a movie has good enough sound mixing i don't have trouble parsing what people are saying#that being said if a movie's dialogue is too quiet or overpowered by the background noise i WILL zone out and just leave#im not putting on subtitles for shit that's *less* parse-able than people in a crowded room trying to talk to me

Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:
Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)
Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)
Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.
But in Japanese it scans as:
Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)
Psycho (short for psychic)
Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.
